  1. Likely a wrong value for the orientation of the 3D model. It has to be fixed in the model files. With wrong values, you'll see effects like aircraft "hovering" above the tarmac with no wheels touching the ground. As the main gear is on the ground, but the front wheel isn't, its a buggy value for the 3D orientation of the model. It's always a little "nose up" ...
  2. Sorry, I don't own a X52. Hope you'll get your profile...
  3. Moin. Well, how about setting up a profile and upload it for others? This would be a great start.
  4. My ratio used to be 1 crash for 2 kills....
  5. BTW: There is a highly sophisticated, built-in, solid state optical device which makes your life easier. You might recall it from your car: It's called "mirror".
  6. This is one of the major reasons, why ED developed DCS with its own source code and gaming engine!
  7. Frohes Neues Jahr! For the original Lock-On, you don't need an activation code. For the installation of Flaming Cliffs 3, you need to install Lock-on first, because FC3 is looking for the installation as a prerequisite (this is a license problem between ED and Ubisoft). You don't need to run Lock-On and can de-install it once FC3 was installed successfully. You also need to install DCS:World for FC3, because FC3 also requires it to be installed in order to run FC3. This is, because FC3 is a DCS Module. You can run FC3 with any DCS:World version, but I recommend to use the latest.
  8. I doubt that it works this way. Because after release, the chaff cloud immediately drops speed and will be filtered out because of the missing Doppler. Bringing chaff between your aircraft and the opponents radar (AI, active missile seeker or SAM) instead likely will break the lock. But a radar guided missile will not "follow" the chaff... An IR-seeker missile actually will follow a bunch of flares, but that's a different story....
  9. Some (hundreds of) hours of practice, and you will achieve things like this: Watch 1:20 to 1:40
  10. No, he asked for flying the planes in Lock-On, not those of FC3:
  11. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/lock_on_flaming_cliffs_3/ "FC3 is a module of DCS: World, which makes it compatible with all other DCS: World titles" and "Note: Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 3 will require an installation of Lock On: Modern Air Combat or previous version Flaming Cliffs." I stand corrected, my fault.
  12. For FC3, you need a Lock-On installation as prerequisite. FC3 otherwise will abort the installation process. You can start Lock-On by using the desktop shortcut. EDIT: You need DCS:World to be installed first to install FC3. FC3 is a DCS Module. but also requires Lock-On or a previous version of FC (FC, FC2) installed.
  13. Yup. FC3 is looking for a Lock-On installation as a prerequisite. One FC3 has been installed, you can get rid of the Lock-On installation. FC3 will have its on default folder, that's OK. DCS modules will go into their default DCS folders. No need to interfere.
  14. Lock-On is required to make FC3 run. So install it in a separate folder. You can delete the game after FC3 was installed successful. DCS World is required to run all the DCS modules like the A10C, so install it first into a DCS folder.
  15. http://forum.lockon.ru/group.php?do=grouplist http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Virtual_Squadrons_and_Regiments Enough?
  16. Correct. And in the ol' IHAWK system, you could hear the rotor (extracted doppler signal from the tracking radar HPIR). This also applied to prop aircraft. You could hear the prop and even find out, if it was a single or multi prop aircraft. There was no radar signal coming back from the helo fuselage at speeds below 160 km/h, all you could get was the rotor. And this is a no-shit story.
  17. AI pilots? They are magicians and usually do such things....
  18. Strange to see, that from FC2 to FC3 things that were OK before re-appear as bugs and need additional fixes... There is a German expression for it. We call it "verschlimmbessern" ... :music_whistling:
  19. 1. LOL 2. See here as a starter http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/a2a.htm 3. 21. The closest I could find is this one (scroll down the page) http://www.81fly.com/thread-1003-1-1.html Uuuhm... the links seem to be dead. The only chance I see now is to contact ED support and ask for the old version.
  22. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/lock_on_flaming_cliffs_3/ Why would you try to use an outdated version anyway?
  23. GCI already is available. You just need somebody to use LotATC and tell you the information required via Teamspeak. LotATC v2.1.0 (not sure if its compatible with DCS/FC3): http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=32&file=1103
