  4. Poll started - JimMack Memorial Trophy 2015 Gents, the candidates have been nominated. Please vote for your your favourite candidate. Who should receive the JimMack Memorial Trophy for 2015? Poll will end on May 15, 2015. EDIT: Please ignore Cobra847 being mentioned in the head line. Finger trouble, but I can't modify this poll anymore.

  6. BUMP Seven more days to go. Any other candidates you would like to see in the poll?
  7. Dear friends, Two years ago on April 23rd, 2013, our friend Jim Mackonochie - known as JimMack - passed away. A few years ago, I was lucky to meet him and he appeared to me a true flight sim enthusiast, a bright, humorous guy one likes to chat to. This trophy is dedicated to his life work, so we might remember him for the years to come. The trophy should go to somebody, who - in the spirit of JimMack - either has supported the community in an outstanding way or has shown outstanding fairness and dedication towards other players. The 2014 winner was Mustang and he received the trophy and put it on his shelf: It's about time to start the 2015 voting. The candidates can be nominated within two weeks (until April 17, 2015) including name (nick) and a short statement, why this person should get the trophy. With the list of candidates closed, a poll will be started here for the duration of four weeks (ending May 15, 2015) and the winner will be announced. Mustang then will ship the trophy to the winner, who can keep it for one year. Let's go!
  8. Have you tried the search feature yet? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=79499&highlight=custom+loadout as a starter. BTW: Creating own missions is much easier than messing around with config files.
  9. Hi mrmertz, Merry Christmas to you. My wife is fighting skin cancer since 2010 (now metastases in her liver) and I fought my battle with a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma last year (and won so far, fingers crossed). I'm no religious man, but I wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas Eve. I'm sure, 2015 will bring back some more happy moments to you. You truly deserve it.
  10. MiG29 was designed as an short range Air Defense Fighter. Rapidly airborne, engage enemies with GCI support, then RTB. It never was designed for Combat Air Patrols oder as an Escort Fighter. Later variants (SMT, K) were much more capable.
  11. Darn, right. The DL page is online, but the documents are not. I contacted Olivier Beaumont. Wait and see.
  12. Not really. This one still works http://users.skynet.be/F4Checklists/LomacDownload.htm
  13. Maybe this is what you are looking for: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/video/
  14. Well, you didn't tell a word that you need the videos to be played in FC 2 ;-) I think, this is it: http://lockon.co.uk/en/downloads/video/flaming_cliffs_2/fighter_weapons_school/
  15. Have you tried these? https://www.youtube.com/user/eagledynamicstv https://www.youtube.com/user/eagledcs
  16. As always, it depends on weather impact and the RCS (which again varies with the aspect) of the target. A B747 would be visible while flying high, a F-16 probably not. The data put into the simulation algorithms are vague and from official sources. In reality, they may differ from the results shown in the sim, and in both directions.
  17. Good stuff, but this thread should be moved to DCS:WWII Moderators?
  18. Very fair point of view. Thanks. I'm just a little embarrassed about the way the KS site was making promises which - with the knowledge of one Ilya Shevchenko - never should have been announced that way. Waaaaaaayyyy too optimistic.
  19. Wasn't this so unpredictable ? http://bobgamehub.blogspot.de/2014/06/dcs-wwii-project-collapses-lead.html "We raised early concerns given the track record of the devs. These were the people who gave us the self-confessed disaster that was IL2 Cliffs of Dover. Before that, was Project Galba, the Korean war sim that never saw light of day. It beggared belief that a publishing house like ED/DCS would then agree to collaborate with this team, on a new sim - DCS WWII - and risk their brand value by doing so. They have now taken the consequences of that decision and cut their ties with RRG Studios, assumed control of the project again, and are trying to save their reputation." Nothing to add. Now let us hope for the best.
