  1. Yes, I'm afraid most of people don't realize what they woted for, and expecting something like syria but in south America, that poll needs screenshot example what exatly it would look like. But that would take a complete rework of this map to look decent and cohesive. The worst part is the original textures are to some extent still there and are simply covered with these ugly tiles. Could be even one of the reasons why it runs even worse after these updates.
  2. It's such a shame to cover the unique look of this map with such a generic textures. Would Razbam consider option to remove some of the HardSplat textures of fields, or atleast give as option to do so? Especially around cities like Ushuaia and Puntas Arenas the visuals are much worse compared to EA release of the map
  3. Same here with 3080, the only thing that helps a little is setting textures to medium but it still hapens at some places. Map performance seems to be getting worse every update unfortunately.

  7. Maybe it's a bug, how old is your screenshot? I downloaded your 36th Combat Aviation Brigade skin and it doesn't work there either
  8. This doesn't work for me, don't know what am I doing wrong. If I add the lines and those extre pilot details and helmet textures, the patches go back to default even in the cockpit

I already have: {"pilot_AH64_patch", DIFFUSE , "ah-64d_pilot_patch_airborne", false}; {"pilot_AH64_patch", NORMAL_MAP , "ah-64d_pilot_patch_airborne_normal", false}; {"pilot_AH64_patch", SPECULAR , "ah-64d_pilot_patch_airborne_roughmet", false}; But like I said, it works in external view only as long as the pilot is sitting inside, once you eject (step out) the patch changes
  10. Patches are done and skin updated, check out new pictures in first post. Unfortunately I haven't figures out how to change the patch on the pilot outside of an aircraft, it seems the textures are not in the same place as textures for pilot in cockpit and I see that on other skins - once you leave the helicopter, the patch changes to default.

  12. CURRENT VERSION IS NOT IN THE GAME. If you want to use this skin, you need to rename it in the description.lua (at the bottom) to something different, for example: name = "12th Combat Aviation Brigade Weathered UPDATE" countries = {"USA"} I've contacted NineLine about the possibility to update it in the game files Link
  13. Fantastic job on adding screen space shadows! It adds so much to the scene, especialy for the trees and grass. IMO it's more of a gamechanger than all the new antialiasing options, although DLAA is pretty awsome. Great update ED, thanks.
  14. Slightly increased brightness / visibility of F-14's HUD Brightness is set to max, I tried to make it as visible against bright background as possible. Thickness of the lines has been also slightly decreased, unlike my F-16 and F-18 HUD mods, thickness can't be easily tweaked, it's determined by a .tga texture, not .lua file.   15. Honestly, moded Caucasus has better looking cities and trees, and has much, much better performance. WTF hapenned with this update? This map just needs complete rework at this point.
  16. I've tweaked both mods - slightly increased luminosity of symbology, it should be a bit more visible against clouds.
  17. There are some differences even withing ED modules, so I guess the third party module won't be the same. But if there's similar folder structure and file "material.lua", it should be there, just look for HUD, or it might be some general material that is used for HUD as well, I can't really tell without that file though.
  18. No. You have to use something like JSGME or OVGME. You could directly overwrite the files in the root game folder, but I strongly recommend not to.

  20. Sorry, I have one more question. Would you considder uploading the first version anyway (in case it wasn't deleted) as an option? I guess I'm not the only one who uses this map mainly for low flying with helicopters, where this problem would't be noticable.
  21. Thanks man, that's unfortunate. I know how frusrtating it can be trying to mod something and it turns out to be dead end, so thanks for all the hard work. Either way I'm exited to try this version.
  22. Wait so his latest screenshots are supposed to be updated version of these? That would be kind of shame, those first shots like the one above looked really unique and IMHO perfectly realistic

  25. The forest tiling on the original (5th picture) hurts my eyes. Ugra did fine job content wise but they need to have sirious talk with their texture guy, or calibrate his screen.
