  1. Found a workaround! Go to -Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Liveries\Cockpit-Ka-50_2\english - and copy all 7 .dds textures there and paste them somewhere. Remove the "_ENG" (change "ka50_cpt_01_alb_ENG.dds" to "ka50_cpt_01_alb.dds" for example), do it for all 7 files and then paste those in the zip folder "Cockpit-Ka-50_2_Textures" in - Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Cockpit\Textures - Make a backup before you do it just in case. Keep in mind that now the cockpit will be in english as a default. If you don't wanna go through all that, here's a link to the edited "Cockpit-Ka-50_2_Textures.zip" folder BTW in case you use any custom textures for cockpit in your "Liveries" folder, you have to rename your Ka-50 folder to "Cockpit-Ka-50_2" in order to see them in the special options in the game.
  2. Hi, are there any plans for next Development update (the colored progress map)? I assume the areas around the new airfields are more or less done, but I'm interested in the overall completion. I decided to wait a bit before purchasing back in june, and wonder how far are you now.

  4. Flying Ka-50, I stay barely above 40 fps on Guam, (Flat screen, RTX3080, 10600K and 32gb ram) visibility High, shadows high and default, the rest of the settings highish. That's pretty unaccaptable performance with this rig. And I definitely won't be buying Black Shark 3 update, when it will most definitely lock me out of this map with it's millions of polygons.
  5. When both versions look perfect this is the only way BTW, do I miss on something important excluding the ShadingOptions folder and terrain.cfg.lua form the SNOWLESS version?

First uninstall the main mod, then go to the SNOWLESS MOD you downloaded and navigate to Mods/terrain/caucasus/vfstextures and rename everything that ends with winter to autumn (like "NoiseAutumn" for example), do this for all 9 folders in the vfstextures and then simply add and overwrite (if needed) all 9 "____Autumn" folders to the main mod - Mods/terrain/caucasus/vfstextures. Reinstall the main mod and that should be it. The Standalone SNOWLESS winter mod contains some more tweaks as I understand but for me it works regardless. Now I have both winter versions at the same time.

  8. Great work once again! The snowless looks awsome. I really like the stripes on the fields from the older (current) vesion though, has that been changed or is it just the sweetfx doing something there? On the lower, older pick they look more interesting IMO, othervise the new version looks very nice.
  9. There is definitelly something off with the new "COLD AT START" feature. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Late activation doesn't work at all for me as well, they always spawn as cold. For example on PG map, Flying F-16, Sa-9 (without late activation) shows up as hot if the box is unchecked, but the same Sa-9 is completely cold on Syria. Not sure if it's map related or just random. Edit: just saw in one of the threads below, it's comfirmed bug, currently the new feature doesn't work properly.
  10. I'm not sure if this is a bug, but is the new FLIR option "COLD AT START" supposed work only for mission start, but not for late activation? I was hoping it would enable us to fly somewhere for a couple minutes and then spawn a HOT target, visible in FLIR. However at this point it seems to work only at mission start, any unit activated later with trigger will spawn as if it was cooling down from the time the mission started. Below is the difference between spawning SA-9 about 5 minutes after mission start (LEFT) and spawning SA-9 a few soconds after the mission start (RIGHT), both of them are set up as LATE ACTIVATION.
  11. Well done ED! The new eye adaptation technique works great and everything looks far better under heavy clouds. Also the option to start AI vehicles hot/cold is much needed improvement for the FLIR! It seem the update didn't brake anything major on my end too, so that's nice
  12. Great, I thought I was going crazy. It's a same problem for me, especially annoying in Tomcat, because jester just stops lasing and I keep missing the target.
  13. This solved the biggest problem I had with Syria map - The trees don't blend well with the texture below. Using only the .lua file without trees, I darkened the map a bit more (0,80 gama) and overall it looks much better, thanks!

  16. Most of the modules have these things bindable, would be nice to have it in F-14 too.
  17. This worked, thanks! It must be the language change that causes this. Just like Dagger52, I initially installed DCS in different languge (might have been automatic based on my region) and changed it to english later.

  20. I wouldn't dare turning Jester off, I just assume he would say "Sorry dave, I'm afraid I can't do that". Plus he's very useful with the LANTIRN, it's just that this works from air start, so I it's probably a bug.
  21. Cold start, using mk82 in tgt computer mode, then switching to GBU16, man. ord. mode. I find target myself from the RIO seat and designate, when I switch to pilot, JESTER looses track - he gives me a cue to align for about 2 seconds but then it seems the LANTIRN goes to snowplow. When I start from the air, he stays on the target when I switch back to pilot and I can pickle without any issues. I'm not sure if it's cold start that does this, dropping the mk82s before, or something else entirely.

  23. I have roughly the same performance as on the Channel when it was released, so if it's gonna get the same kind of optimisation update, I'm fine with that. Untill then, flat shodows is the way.
  24. Are you guys planning any more optimisation? I understand adding Cyprus means it's out of early acces, so does this mean no more updates? I wish something could be done about those buildings poping out right in front of me.
