Negative, OAP does not change SPI, thus TGP will stay at where the SPI is, only the weapon aiming point will change by OAP.

Added “hacked” station payload (missile/rocket) cannot launch
foxwxl replied to DarkStar79's topic in JF-17 Thunder
if the weapon is not what JEFF should load, or not on appropriate station, the weapon will not be able to launched. -
I've tested using a axis on XBOX GAMEPAD, it can control and slew the TGP with wide/narrow view. I think U could set a modifier and use your joystick X/Y axis to test the axis input of TGP.

Yes, range has to be greater than 30KM to initiate the loft at current build, but this restriction may be loosen a bit if internal test show good result.

If you do not have the diamond ground stabilized, then it is NOT your current SPI, the range info is based on your current SPI, not where the diamond pointing.

1. Is your little stick a axis or a mouse? have U check deadzone settings? 2.Radar beam elevation coverage is 3 degrees, similar to F-18 (3.3degrees), if U have used to F-16, you will feel the elevation coverage is quite small, since the APG-68 have a beam coverage of 4.5degrees. But this is not a bug. Bar spacing: RWS: 1.3 degrees, TWS: 1.6 degrees. So at 4Bar RWS EL coverage(3+1.3×3=6.9) is just a little bit smaller than F-18, 3Bar TWS will be even smaller(3+1.6×2=6.2) but not much. The calculation is correct for TDC EL coverage. 3.RDR page using a b-scope display, which HSD does not. B-scope transform the contact position that target at the same range will show on the same horizon , so B-scope contact does not at(nor heading) where U see it on the RDR screen. U could understand this better with a F-16 lock a contact see it position and heading on FCR and HSD.

FPS in single digits after today's update
foxwxl replied to FoxTrotAlpha691's topic in Bugs and Problems
Try find them in your Saved Games/DCS/ , they are "fxo" and "Metashade"(or Meta2 or something like that, I can't remember the correct name) -
FPS in single digits after today's update
foxwxl replied to FoxTrotAlpha691's topic in Bugs and Problems
Have you tried remove your 2 shader folders in your saved game? Try remove it and let the DCS auto create them again. Also the config file fold could be moved to test if the shader folder does not make any differece. We don't have any FPS impact on our side, infact the FPS has been improved quite a bit since ED has optimized the AG radar rendering. -
Cold start only set the plane HNS into INS, U need to manually switch it into INS+GPS

Sorry I can not view the video right now, but there is serval consideration U could taken into account: 1. Once U select HUD as SOI in AUTO mode, a diamond(same as SPI marker) will apear that alow U to slew. 2. The diamond can only be ground stabilized at close range and command a new SPI. 3. If U mark a point too far away(ie. 20NM+), the diamond will not be able to ground stabilized and the new SPI is not created. the diamond will remain its relative position on the HUD.

- Tweak Radar behavior: If target in notch, will try predict target position with last known target position and target velocit The radar will now have MEM function works correctly when target entering notch, although it will no show you any additional symbol on the RDR page or HUD like the APG-73, you can still notice this process when the closure rate fixed on a certain number when target trying to notch U. Radar will try to maintain the lock with predicted target VV, but after certain time if the lock can not be achieved, the lock will be droped, and the notch is achieved.

Loft trajectory is using the new loft api, so the loft trajectory is now a ballistic curve, no more "straight line + hard turn + straight line". This will greatly improve the missile energy preservation, and also correctly send the missile into high altitude(which loft truely means). Also SD-10 loft is done by manual, so the pitch angle at launch will determine the loft trajectory(how high the missile will loft), it give U better control at close-med range loft action.

Best to use the AG radar with a SLV point around the target site. Or U can manual TDC depress on rdr near where U think the target would be. All these 2 methods above will point the radar antenna to the correct elevation.

Type 200A is a high drag bomb. So, best to release with high speed low altitude CCIP pass. But the bomb prameter is still under tweaking, currently high speed low altitude CCIP pass may not able to activate its rocket motor in time, so 1000-1500ft CCRP pass with large release interval could be used.

DL threat list and datalink system is still WIP, and is subject to change(very likely) when our coder is available.
-
Already fixed and waiting to roll out with next update.
-
Best to control through joystick or gamepad, axis will be preferred.
-
The DL does not pass over Air Defence position like 16/18, it just pass targets sighted by AG radar(ie. from GMTI), no matter it is a tank or a SAM.
-
OAP is already working for jeff. Manual mark target in AUTO(like how it works for DTOS in BMS) mode can be achieved by puting SOI onto the HUD, and mark a position not too far.

No SPI when GMT ground target locked and carrying only A/A ordnance.
foxwxl replied to Spiceman's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you mean the small blue diamond for some weapon on the HSD, it's the weapon current targeting point(including SPI and PP) for certain type of weapon. In AA mode, the SPI is bound to A2A targets, so the SPI is not on the ground, there is no meaning showing the blue diamond on HSD. In AG mode, the blue diamond is showed for certain wpn to visualizing the actual targeting point. Basically these AG wpns have long range(LS6 GB6 C802AK) and not easy to VID the targeting point on HUD, so HSD targeting point is showed to help the pilots to confirm the target and also the DLZ. -
Real plane does not store MFD customization into DTC like the F-16, so U have to do it manually once U have a new aircraft.

No SPI when GMT ground target locked and carrying only A/A ordnance.
foxwxl replied to Spiceman's topic in Bugs and Problems
No sure what U are trying to report, but the waypoints do displayed on HSD in AA/AG mode now. -
SLAVE always mean to follow the SPI(by default the current WPT), not a specific sensor. And SOI can define where is the current SPI is, all other sensor will follow the SPI if they are not tracking something already.
-
TGP SLAVE make TGP salve to SPI(ie. radar designated target). If U have point tracked a target, U may have to unlock and let the TGP slave to SPI again. Now you set TGP as SOI, and designate a target, the SPI has moved. If you want the radar to follow, AG radar should be set to SLV too. Note that set SLV/ SP will reset radar mode to MAP-RBM. FTT stands for fix target track, the radar will stop scaning and focus all its energy on the target like the STT, so U will get a black screen.
