  1. I guess there must be a semi-automatic mode which would give flight path commands via flight directors for the pilot to follow. That would be neat. AFAIK except analogue data like flight path it can also trigger single commands like "Engage AB", "Radar PRF HI/MED" etc
  2.
  3. I'm not sure whether it has been discussed but would it be possible to allow for an F-14 RIO to rejoin should it happen to disconnect at any time? The pilot still controls the aircraft but the back seat controls are gone. When the RIO rejoins the same slot all that happens is the back seat controls are restored. If the pilot drops then it's clear - FUBAR.
  4. Why not just to restrict it's usage until it gets fixed? Seemed not to be a pivotal weapon anyway..
  5. RvE supports the proposed increase of the stream delay.
  6. Congrats 104th for a well deserved win!
  7. Congrats to inSky for the win, well deserved. On behalf of RvE I would like to thank all people organizing and participating in this challenging event.
  8. Definitely the new FM brings a positive experience and indeed it's way different from anything else in DCS. I'm still exploring it throughout the whole flight envelope and couple of things to note: - maximum speed/Mach number at high altitude - 2900+ TAS and Mach 2.75 are reachable. I guess thrust/drag needs some tuning at that speed range. From what I know that aircraft is the fastest rated of Russian inventory with 1500 kph top speed at sea level but I think it shouldn't exceed Mach 2.35-2.4 at any altitude. - landing is really sweet but make sure you reset the pitch trim before you attempt another take-off afterwards - it starts pitching so fast at full burner that I couldn't react as fast and I suffered a tail pipes strike :D It was interesting to note the damage modeling in that case - I was not able to engage the afterburner, mil power max. The 29 is now where it's mostly known in the world for - a very tough BFM adversary
  9. Thanks a bunch Rage, I was looking for that link.
  10. Are the tacviews available?
  11. Congrats SF for the win  It was an intense match!
  12. Unfortunately FC3 doesn’t model the radar/EOS interaction properly. I have my hopes that RAZBAM will implement the correct logic in their MiG-23MLA module. That aircraft has that functionality irl, the only difference is it’s EOS which lacks laser rangefinder and whenever it’s used as primary sensor range data is obtained by the Sapphire-23 radar.
  13. It plays only round 2 for me. Round 1 available?
  14. I'm not happy. Yorz shot me down.. It was supposed to be the other way around :D
  15. Great news! Looking forward to a decent module for this remarkable aircraft.
  16. Ye I also don't appreciate the new "concept" so much. I often find myself chasing a dot which few moments later I realize it's nothing but a dirt on my canopy. Lazy technicians! :D Would be good to have that as an option the same way you can switch cockpit languages.
  17. In RvE we don't mind starting one hour later. Our murican guys are all east coast :D
  18. Ka-27 pit! Truly awesome! I see you haven't left behind your naval interest ;)
  19. A blast from the past ;) I don't have anything related but at least I can share admiration on your work Jens. Are you in touch with any sim developers to have your work implemented?
  20. Congrats to 59th for a flight well fought! Thanks again to 51st for hosting the event. Looking forward to the next round. We'll try not to gun each other next time
  21. Well done ITGC, S! Many thanks to 51st and 104th for putting up this tournament.
  22. If those drones haven't been gunned down it must have been a helluva waste. BTW I wonder at what stage nowadays ROE's allow air-to-air gunnery? I mean in both a2a incidents in Syria (the Russian Su-24 and the recent one) rear aspect shot with a heater from a fair short range are rumored. Given the types (attacker and target) it doesn't look like too complicated to go gunzo.
  23. Negative, sir. I downgraded myself to commercial fixed wing :D For the record, I haven't worked on Ka-26, only 32.
  24. Aahhh, the old memories.... The coax is not Ka-27, it's Ka-32. Basically the same airframe but civilized with all the military equipment removed. I worked on those in the past, more than 10 years ago. Spent one summer in Turkey doing forest fire fighting. We were based at Marmaris but we covered large area - north up to Aydin, east up to Antalya. Here how it looks from the inside, collecting water from the sea near Kusadasi: UAbNZ_t34gI
