  1. Some not so glorious moments for Su-34 at Voronezh, the crew is safe.
  2. This (one side defending, the other one attacking) was always what I wanted to see in the past while the LOCERF event was rulling the FC1 community. Looking forward to it
  3. One thing you would notice first on the Indian KUB's - their engines don't smoke, at all.
  4. I notice another interesting fact. Pulling G's right after take-off is dramatically increasing the time for landing gear retraction. I think this is a bit of an overkill. True, the hydraulic pressure should overcome few times bigger weight but 210 bars at a good flow rate what a variable displacement pump is able to provide is a pretty solid power source. It feels like the flow supplied by the pump(s) is decreasing which is not right. There is plenty of footage of various modern fighters retracting their gears while maneuvering and can't notice a difference while the Su-27 in DCS takes ages to retract the gear if you're pulling 3-4 G's.
  5. The lower word "ПРОВЕРКА" means "TEST" in English. The other two letters on the top of the RWR should be for day and night - "H"="N", "Д"="D". The middle one "ЗВУКА НЕТ" means "NO SOUND".
  6. I have no problem trimming the aircraft hardware wise but it seems odd that it takes so much of the stick travel. The amount of work required with the "trimmer" through the IAS range is the major problem. I kinda doubt how realistic that is hence the example with the "auto loop".
  7. Pitch trim seems definitely off in the Su-27. At speed 700km/h and above I need more than half of the stick travel forward to balance. If I let go on the stick the aircraft is pulling up to 5-6G's all by itself (pitch trim in neutral). It can actually perform a perfect loop with hands off. I have no facts to put on the table since I've never even seen a real Su-27 in my life but that definitely seems not right.
  8. Given the landscape I'm having hard time to believe this is shot in Russia. Looks more like Iraq.
  9. Thanks, sweetfx was indeed the reason. The thing is that I've made duplicate installation - once manually and then with JSGME. By uninstalling in the mod enabler and then manually deleting all sweetfx files in the bin folder it's all good now.
  10. I was messing with some graphics mods installation both with JSGME and manually and eventually my DCSW ended up with the left part of the screen in mist regardless of where I am - from splash screen, through ME and finally in game. Any idea of what might have happened? The mods I installed were SweetFX 1.51, Mustang's shaders mod Clouds & Sky complete 5.65, DCS enhanced terrain v1.1 and Highways villages mod. Uninstalling of the mods has no effect. Screens are attached. I'll appreciate any hint before I have to reinstall from scratch. Thanks!
  11. I guess the rocket pods are supposed to jettison automatically once they are off and the release switch is on? I'm yet to succeed in dropping the boosters, they just keep hanging on my belly. :/
  12. Correct, there are no RSBN/PRMG stations at Novorossiysk, Gelendzik, Gudauta and Sukhumi.
  13. You should dial channel 12, the RSBN beacon is located right in-between Soganlug and Tbilisi. As for the ARK sectors they work like this - the map is divided in 4 main sectors: 1-I - the Crimean peninsula with 9 ground NDB stations, 2-I covering the area from the Kerch strait roughly to the line Sochi-Adler - Cherkessk also with 9 NDB's, 2-II covering the northern Caucaus area with 3 NDB's and 3-I covering Georgia with 5 NDB's. I suggest you print out the high resolution charts from "\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Doc\Manual_Images" for reference. I don't have memorize all of this information.
  14. I wonder what those F-18's are expecting to do with such loadout in that mission..
  15. Thanks LN for bringing me back on my HOTAS in front of the PC.
  16. I thought the same when I read "Out of stock" next to the download version of Black Shark 1. Though had no problems purchasing the Sabre just now.
  17. I've been working on narrow body 320 and 737(CL&NG) families for the last 5.5 years. If you ask for RL I can tell you that your favourite has a huge disadvantage exactly because of it's crappy engine. The V2500 is junk. From all the types I'm licensed (319/320/321 (both CFM and IAE), 737CL and 737NG) I prefer the NG the most from all points of view - more reliable, flies better, flies further and most important - it's metal, not plastic :D On the wide body scene AIB though has some strong players. I don't have 1st hand experience on them but I recognize the 330 as a very good piece of engineering.
  18. I would like to see some aerobatics to get the impression how the aircraft handles.
  19. That afterburner is just sick
