  1. Mostly play single player tbh, but when online its just a different level.... Last time online I jumped two 109's got a lucky first burst on one and got his engine, ran out of ammo in the fight that followed with no2 and got chased all the way back to Dover .... I though I was dead but he must have been out of ammo as he eventuly formed up, wagged his wings and vanished back over the channel....... DCS is just WOW when things like that happen......
  2. Update... So been using these Cadetpedals for about 6 months now and they work.... the Pots I bought are maybe not the best and the toe brake design needs some revisions to make it a little more sturdy if you need them..... I have only used the brakes a handfull of times. So I've remixed this with some MK1 Spitfire Pedals (my design from Original pedals) and removed the toe brakes for now. Printed and all works great with the simple rudder only axis. The solid pedal makes these nearly perfect for warbirds. Next up... intend to make the swing arms a little longer and incorporate the Authentikit Maghall design.....
  3. Late to this thread but its the Spit every time for me..... I have the P51, 109, both 190's and other than some free flights and looking about in the cockpit i have litteraly done nothing else with these birds Being from the UK its just a joy to get a fraction of the experience of the young lads that flew it in BofB/WW2, just to get in that cockpit.....formation flying looking at other spits....damn its just unexplainable. looking forward to the skin update

  6. Dont think ive ever heard detonation cues in DCS and probably wouldnt know one if I heard it tbh ..... on the ENG0_ADVANCED_IGNITION_TIMING it just stopped.... anyways following @DD_Fenrir boost guide I've not blown up any more Merlins
  7. I think in 4K videos i watched the grass seems shorter ! (im on 2K)....   9. Dont recall.... at 2000RPM i probably cranked the boost lever fully forward wow didnt know that.... is that modeled ??? I was probaly only in low RPM for 5mins max hence why I thought it was weather related. I was on the french side of the Channel... noticed fuel was on the lower tank so set course for home,, reduce RPM, trimmed and after a very sort spell,,, dead stick.

  13. im seeing this too..... also getting a white border around planes (5-6 pixels deep) when ground fog is on and the plane crosses the horizon..... I'll post a pic later

  19. Totaly understand everyone point of view on here…. personally the first thing i went to look at was to see if the supermarine factory had been recreated at woolston, southampton…. sadly not…. HOWEVER. omg the normandy 2.0 is amazing and pared with the campaigns from @Reflected its way better than syria in my opinion. im sure the creators will update and all these ‘missing’ POIs will find their way to the map eventually…. fingers crossed.
  20. All issues below were on Normandy 2.0...... not sure that makes a differance tbh, but worth noting. SpitfireLFMkIX Cockpit lighting does not work - reported previous posts above (edit: works in ST) Rear view mirror in very low light conditions ie dawn, the mirror is actually full daylight. (edit: works in ST) Can hear the engine Cranking on other AI spits parked 4/5 bays away - Volume is not representative of distance and equal to players aircraft. (edit: works in ST) Dont ever recall seeing these in ST but will check this evening and edit post. issues repoted elsewhere but working for me SpitfireLFMkIX Exhuast flames - All ok on my system, even on AI wingmen.
  21. yep.... thought it was just me tbh..... elevator trim is fine but rudder trim is a nightmare for me. I think its all about the resolution of the button press/pot or the hat..... I have 2 rotary encoders set up for trim and the elevator one is great.... trims very easily... rudder however is far too fine so I need to keep turning the rudder encoder unrealistically to get any authority. soooo I then set up trim on a hat switch.... complete opposite... the button press gives too much authority on elevator so cant trim without porpoising but rudder is more 'managable' .... i even reprogrammed the timing of the encoder but I couldn't set the m/sec speed timing individually on the LeoBodnar control board so it screwed up settings for my gun sight/compass/lights... which all run from the same board..... anyway. YES. pain in the rear to trim. but i think its more a DCS controls input issue rather than a flight characteristic. Also Air is thin at 30k + so makes everything worse.
  22. Couldnt agree more..I spray'd hundreds of rounds into a 190 everyone missed the engine, the fueltank and even the dam PILOT, go figure. lucky basket ........ ED need to look at this Edit: just read the description on FW190A the ED shop "When they did land rounds on it, the Anton’s side and rear cockpit armour and armoured engine cowling made it harder to down." so maybe its correct
  23. sorry ment mission 5.....done it 3 times now each time 2 groups from MAX just pottering about....even with 109's shooting..........crazy AI's Need to rename Max to Daisy Thanks @Reflected.........Dumb Ai got it ........ oh and these Missions on Normandy 2.0 are WOW.... amazing thanks
