You shouldnt be turning your head that much.... change the sensativity of the yaw. I use Opentrack and my settings below but if you wear glasses you might want to make it more sensitive. i move my head left/right by about 15deg and I'm looking back without having to squint my eyes. -
Not been active on the 3D printing front for a while but thought I'd add my newly printed 3D pedals to my thread.... Not sure on the longevity but they were fun to print. Credit goes to other on this one.... see link below for 3D print files. Cadet Pedals

Watched back the TacView and it was the 4x109s at my 10o'clock that dived and circled behind unchallanged. The flight lead actually told a separate spitfire group to attack those 109s while he vectored us into the main group at 2'o'clock, so I just wrongly assumed they were engaged, silly me. Successfully negotiated the mission last night, but one thing I did notice is that the audio radio messages don’t seem to reflect what the DCS-AI does, After the radio message for a spit to turn back with fuel tank issue there is a 20 sec delay before he goes with his No.2, and again after the radio message to engage (this was the issue I had with the 10o'clock group) some of the Spitfire AI groups just continued to fly around in formations and didn’t seem that interested until they were bounced?? maybe a timing issue ?? not sure how it works tbh.... anyway cheated slightly and put on 'symbol only' ID as I struggled seeing anything at medium range @ 1440p, DCS need to sort that becuase at 1080p its so much easier to see. Anyway 2x109 kills (after reviewing tacView 1 kill... other was shot up bad but landed!!! but DCS gave me a kill ???), a wing full of bullet holes and a bumpy landing with 5 lbs of fuel left ... a lot better than my first 3 attempts. Leasons learned..... Ignore flight lead and dont expect DCS-AI to react or do as their told until its too late PS @Reflected these missions are the best I've done so far.. so imersive even if the AI sucks bullets..... we need more 'Reflected' spitfire campaigns pls Thanks All

Even Chucks Guide are outdated...... sooner the better because all the old youtube videos on 'how to do' etc etc are way out of date too..... Not a job i'd fancy doing comming in midstream. I'll be patient

not a bug QFE question... possible bug ?
Droning_On replied to Droning_On's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Cheers Yurgon, makes perfect sense...... Kollsman window ??? looks like I have some googling to do later Wasnt sure how it effected flight characteristics as the F-16 wobbles about in flight if you play about with it on landing -

not a bug QFE question... possible bug ?
Droning_On replied to Droning_On's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
thanks but QNH is referancing sea level not airfield level. The ATC specificaly notes runway QFE at a Barometric Pressure level below what I can set on the F-16C Altimeter control knob?? Runway in Question was Nellis btw !! Just seemed strange -
just flew mission 6 (maybe 7 cant remember now) on the red flag campain, and the ATC told me to set my QFE at 27.8, but the Viper would only go down to 28.1 ???? Am i doing something wrong ? cheers J

same here....i thought this was linked to the 'secondary shadows' menu item........ Edit: second shadows is to do with the Supercarrier and multiple light sources...... either way I still get that shimmer on the ICP

Im presuming IDM = Improved Data Modem.... is this modeled in DCS ? I honesly didnt realise the DL switch turns on IDM.... is the MAP switched utilised for anything. Found an interesting Austrialian defence artical that discusses what IDM actualy does... page 12 here

Not sure if your Single or online Multiplayer or if this is what your looking for, but I use DCS Liberation to automate conflicts/missions. It also has a MP option so your friends can join setting targets/escorts/SEAD/DEAD/CAP misions prior to mission start is as easy as changing a waypoint. GR Youtube Video on DCS Liberation over a year old but still relevent. and this one by HolyOrangeJuice !!

i believe in the block 50 the MIDS LVT knob does the data link. tbh i always knock all the AP switches to On even the DL switch……. force of habit as i used the official guide like yourself.

hi my button boxes randomly stop working and I need to press ESC/controls and 'rescan devices' to make them work again... any thoughts what could be causing this ? Thanks

im having some strange behaviour on the autopilot... ALT/ATT works fine but the STRG/HDG does nothing..... anybody else seeing this ?

cheapest route is DIY but will still cost you plenty money. A few guys have done 3D printed pits but you obvioulsy still have costs for the printer/ plastic / switches /controllers etc. check out these threads for insperation... JSelf Viper1970 or check out my sig for a basic desk pit

Wow looking good guys. The 3d Printing of letters has to be my fav part tbh. I get really good small txt prints with 3.5mm letter height. using 0.2mm layer height with 4 layers of white.

this was my attempt using Captzeen profiles

Probably have built some simple button boxes like the Virpil extension boxes lol ……. Tbh what I spent over the covid restrictions I could have probably bought a Warthog lol 3d printer appealed more and the basic t.flight aint all that bad if you have limited desk space….. due to the original design of the t.flight it landed itself great to this project. Other Hotas’s might have been more stand alone rather than and integrated deskpit. £60. T.flight Hotas4 £200. 3d printer (Technically a Christmas present, pre-covid so wasn’t really bought for this) £20. PLA plastic £30 switches £50 leobodar controllers. ——- £360 to date Probably need to spend another £150 on control cards and switches to get rhs button box and ICP working. And the rear screen is designed to house the thrustmaster cougar button so add another £90. then I need to sort out the hall sensors for the primary controls and the new boards to run them so add another £100 to the mix…… im sure someone said on here or other simpit forums once you start there is never an end …… damn they were correct forgot the iPad Pro 12.9 (running modified CaptZ profile) and the iPhone 12 Pro Max (for Touch portal) and the 3d modelling software subscription (Shapr3D) Feck it’s getting silly. Lmao. Oh well it’s been fun anyway
