DCS: The Way Hello everyone, I couldn't wait until ED implemented this feature, so I did it myself. Using DCS: The Way, you are now able to automatically enter steerpoints into the aircraft after selecting them from the F10 map, emulating a Data Transfer Cartridge function. You can find the project here, where you will also find installation instructions in the readme: https://github.com/aronCiucu/DCSTheWay And download the latest release from here (be sure to watch for updates as well): https://github.com/aronCiucu/DCSTheWay/releases Currently supported modules: F-16 F/A-18 A-10C and A-10C2 Mirage 2000 AV8BNA Harrier Ka-50 Blackshark AH-64D Apache F16 Sufa mod Mirage F1EE UH-60L Blackhawk It also works in multiplayer, if the server has ownship exports on (most probably do). Any feedback will be appreciated, and hopefully support for more modules will come soon. Notes: For VR users, use these keybinds to interact with the program: CTRL+SHIFT+S to save a point CTRL+SHIFT+T to transfer the points CTRL+SHIFT+D to delete all points You can find a video demo here: Feel free to contact me here on the forums via PM or on Discord (Doge#4634)!

I've been working recently on a program to take waypoints from the F10 map into the jet itself. Here's a little demo, will be released soon https://youtu.be/0PHWXWClENQ

Hello, I want to use the LoSetCommand() function to set a switch in the cockpit of the F-16, for example the A-A master button. I found out that it takes 2 parameters, the button code and the value. I looked for the code in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F-16C\Cockpit\Scripts\clickabledata.lua and found it to be 169, however using it with the function doesn't work. I tried adding 3000 to the code as found in another thread, no joy either... However using a code like 431 from the function docs works, it lowers the gear. Any help would be appreciated. What I tried and doesn't work: LoSetCommand(3169) LoSetCommand(169) LoSetCommand(3169, 1.0)

Are you able to access your F10 map markers through a lua hook, while you are a client on a third party server? So far tried using net.dostring_in("server", "return world.getMarkPanels()") but this only works if you are hosting a server, not as a client... Any help would be appreciated

Being marked as correct as is doesn't mean much, as previous topics have shown, that have been retitled when the community insisted to show ED the issues in their game. If they say the HMCS being a joke of a system is realistic, with it barely locking, I find it laughable. Take a look at the Hornet for example, the HMCS has no issues in that one, this is obviously a Viper bug that for some reason no one wants to fix

If you want 2 circle in a F-16, stay above 10000 feet.

@MoverGood day sir, sorry to bother, I have a question, how do you find the current F-16 flight model from your experience with it? Does it behave like it should? Does it need more tuning? Thanks in advance... -
Hello, it looks like the AIM-120C is in a pretty sorry state right now regarding maintaining tracking of a target, missiles fired from ranges of 10-13 miles lose the track of the target at ranges closer than 2 miles from impact, even half a mile in cases. All you have to do is use chaff, not much, one puff is enough to trick any AMRAAM, even at half a mile distance from impact. I am attaching trackfiles, tacviews, and links of short videos below. You can see the issue is replicable with your own plane, or with AI. I hope this will get fixed soon, as the missile has reached impossible levels of unusability. 3 videos from 3 of the tacviews: AMRAAM miss 5 AMRAAM miss 4 AMRAAM miss 3 AMRAAMmiss1.trk AMRAAMmiss2.trk AMRAAMmiss3.trk AMRAAMmiss4.trk AMRAAMmiss5.trk AMRAAMmiss2.acmi AMRAAMmiss3.acmi AMRAAMmiss4.acmi AMRAAMmiss5.acmi AMRAAMmiss1.acmi

Hello, the F-16 right now has very poor visibility to the RWR screen, you cannot see the full top part of the display, and thus cannot see head on contacts. Moving the seat up or down doesn't help either, as then the HUD doesn't display properly. If you try to change the Cockpit camera position, same stuff, the HUD gets messed up. A perspective change like the A-10 got would be super helpful in this case.

Tacview, the ACMI for DCS World – Official Thread
Comrade Doge replied to Vyrtuoz's topic in DCS Modding
I did exactly that, both the beta and the stable have the right location selected, but it still puts them in the wrong place. I am curious where is the config file which tells tacview where to put the files, maybe that's corrupt or hasn't been updated with the new location? -

Tacview, the ACMI for DCS World – Official Thread
Comrade Doge replied to Vyrtuoz's topic in DCS Modding
Hello, I seem to have an issue with tacview and a DCS server, despite telling tacview to save the files in a location, it saves them in another no matter what I do. I also mention that for some reason I have 2 tacview installs, one beta and one not beta, I'm not sure if that has any effect. I will attach pictures to show the tacview settings, and the tacview logs showing that it still saves to the wrong location. I want it to save into a Onedrive folder, but it keeps saving in a Google drive folder. Should I reinstall tacview? Should I have the server closed before changing that setting? Help would be much appreciated. -
Hello! As you know, DCS has a website where you can view the game serves that are online at that moment, by going into your profile, then the active servers list on the left side panel. A small problem I found is that list displays only the elapsed time since the server was restarted, as opposed to the in-game multiplayer menu where it shows the elapsed time, and the time in the mission (the actual hour of the day). It would be useful if the website had the latter field as well, or replaced the elapsed time field (which is wrongly named "Mission time", even though it actually shows the elapsed time), to be able to quickly look on the site and see if a certain server is on a daylight mission or nighttime one. I will attach pictures of both the site and the game. This should be a pretty easy fix or implementation, and it will help people plan their flights without having to fire up the full game.

+1 on this issue. The Viper is severely limited by this behavior.
