Since today, both open beta and stable are same.
There are no 465 public players there. You need to subtract number of servers and locked servers.
Right now I see ~300 public players.
I don't think it will ever happen.
I feel MP community is just a nuisance for ED.
They are talking about dedicated server for 10 years already. My life passed... literally.
Well, you already spotted what's wrong, so think about how to make it right:
If your final is too short, extend downwind for a second or two.
If your turn is too tight, use less bank.
You should accept 1.2nm and 30AOB as guidelines. It's not strict rule.
There's no point to discuss different eras. F-18 is mid 2000s (the most modern fighter in dcs) while FC3 aircraft are early 90s.
F-18C is not supposed to fight against FC3 aircraft. We will never get red opponent for it, so I guess you on blue side will be fighting against each other.
That's simply not true. If we assume me going defensive means to maneuver in such way that guidance of my own missile is lost, Rmax shot wouldn't make me defensive.
How do I know? I don't know. I don't care. You see, when someone lock me I assume endless streak of missiles incoming. It will not keep me busy, it will not even bother me until estimated ddistance/daltitude/dspeed condition is meet. And then my missile will be going toward you too so it will be equal game. As bfm fight approaches I would be concerned that I have more weight and drag because of more missiles at my wings.
If lock is lost inside 20nm and you do not have SA to reacquire in next few seconds and/or you do not have visual contact it is time to disengage and live to fight another day.
