Use pitch input to prevent initial pitch up and hold velocity vector on horizon. Add power to establish 140-160kts depending on mass (that's 4 AoA - aircraft is already trimmed for that AoA). Decrease speed for landing AoA and trim out stick force.

I don't see a point. We already have vehicle mounted guns and AAA.

Holding constant TAS can exceed Mmo in airliner. I guess that's not a problem in F-18? I've never flown supersonic aircraft. About "Mental math rules of thumb", no one really expect you to do that anymore. Glorious days of airline flights are long gone.

Airliners usually hold IAS and mach above changeover. TAS is practically useless in modern airliners. GS is used for nav.

With Sensor Control Switch on hotas.

That's interesting. I've never seen autopilot with TAS hold feature... I find it relatively useless :D

@tifafan Yea, it seems you're right. I don't like new system so I've leaved mission to uncheck but failed to test afterward. Hope they will fix it quickly.

Go to options > special > F-18C and uncheck the checkbox.

@sze5003 I'm sorry, that's not true at all. 1. You can watch all carrier landings at YT, there is obviously pitch stick movement. 2. Trim is not supposed to be used to fly aircraft. It's there to trim out stick force. 3. Limitation for gear down and flaps down is 250 kias. Nowhere near backside of drag curve. I see difference at flaps down fix. It's not change to pa mode though. And please, don't use power technique in GA aircraft unless instructed by certified instructor.

Tacview probably records absolute parameters.

At my pc it doesn't work regardless of module. No time acceleration.

Basically, it's IAS hold mode. You cannot select desired speed.

Realism corners are always being cut to make things more user-friendly. You shouldn't worry about that. @Ahmed. PA mode feels just the same :D

INS develops position and velocity errors over time. It's not that accurate.
