  1. There is no such option in my DCS.
  2. +1. It's unplayable below 60fps.

    DCS M2000C ILS

KJFK 13L-31R both at 111.50 + 332.90. Although they probably cannot be powered at the same time (not sure).

    DCS M2000C ILS

IRL of course. It's completely safe thing to do in VMC, and there's really nothing to stop you. Some aircraft has autopilot constraint so you cannot capture GS before LOC unless you switch to manual flight.

    DCS M2000C ILS

That's not true, I've done it many times, although it's not a smart thing to do in IMC. Maybe the M2000C's equipment is not capable?

    DCS M2000C ILS

Interesting. Do you have any documentation how the system works? 70' or 80' not so big difference.

    DCS M2000C ILS

Are you sure that 70' era INS can provide such accuracy?
  8. That's what most military simmers do not understand. Military sim market is miniature compared to civ sim market.
  9. Because no one would develop full fidelity 747 for a sim that has 400x400km map, limited wx and limited atc. So if I sign a contract with ED and Boeing to make DCS 747, you would consider that "resources away" from military modules, even if I never wanted to make any military module anyway? There is no way DCS can be considered a good civilian simulator platform without resolving map size problem, and Wx engine problem. I hate to say this but when P3D become 64bit platform no one would hope about DCS as civil platform anymore.
  10. It's really useless. Fortunately most of the old MiGs has installed new MFD at that place: Look at 0:54 [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHrQWRez890[/ame]
  11. I have this problem since first 1.5 release. Also present in 2.0. As soon as fps drops bellow 60, moving view via mouse is not smooth anymore. It decreases in speed and starts to lag significantly. In 1.2. version mouse is super smooth at any reasonable frame rate (even at 15-20fps range)
  12. What's the MapID for real terrain. I cannot make my custom object visible at real terrain map, only at Falcon 4,Falcon 4.BMS? Also, when I set runway coordinates, yaw and dimensions, rwy appears shorter than it should be. EDIT: Resolved: for real terrain you do not need MapID. for rwy position, it needs to be center position, not endpoint of an rwy (or any object for that matter)
  13. When you press W, braking force will gradually (in maybe 1-2 sec) rise from 0 to 100% and vice versa. You control braking force pressing w key off and on. For take off, you can press and hold W while you're adding the power.
  14. What's going on with guidance? Do you simulate TVM guidance? Can radar station detect reflection and apply corrections via data-link (as irl)?
  15. In nutshell, change of cockpit displays resolution settings requires restart. If you change from 1024 to 512 (for example), and enter an aircraft before restarting, displays will stay at 1024.
  16. It's not perfect, but it's "playable" that way. Of course it needs to be fixed properly. At my underpowered GPU, it drops from 60 to 50 when use FLIR which is acceptable. Restraining to just one display for flir is pita though.
  17. Can you change a colour of the blue text?
  18. I don't understand, can you provide more details or external reference? Would like to read more.
  19. Per my test, F15 altitude is always QNH. I'm not sure how well atmosphere is modeled and how well altimeter is modeled so cannot comment about difference between F2 and altimeter.
  20. Seriously? No standard ADF with movable scale? No RMI? Can you use HSI for NDB nav?
  21. Well, that's how it should work. In conventional aircraft (or artificially conventional), you have to trim for every speed change. I've never flown a high performance aircraft, but I imagine it would be similar to what we have in game. I imagine it's hard because of lack of FF. In real aircraft stick would be very heavy with like 10 knots out of trim.
  22. Use braking chute.
  23. If you cycle the stick too fast, you will see rudders moving only one side because they cannot move fast enough. Stick LEFT-NEUTRAL = small RIGHT rudder Stick LEFT-AFT = full LEFT rudder Stick LEFT-FWD = full RIGHT rudder Stick RIGHT-NEUTRAL = small LEFT rudder Stick RIGHT-AFT = full RIGHT rudder Stick RIGHT-FWD = full LEFT rudder
  24. +1 When you accidentally change landing airport in F-15, you're lost.
  25. It's not just you of course. I'm probably worse than you.
