AFAIK, the A/A TACAN mode of the M-2000C isn't available yet. Also the Y channel isn't functional, IIRC.

Hi, I just updated to DCS open alpha 2.02 and in my opinion, the NTTR map has increased in its size. From Nellis AFB heading south-west, we can now fly 300NM (!) to the end of the map. Straight to the south 170NM to the edge of the map. There are also a lot of new TACAN stations (west, east and south). The total size is currently 462NM x 416NM. IIRC, it was 320x320 in the former version. Can anybody confirm this or is this just subjective.

Da schließe ich mich an. Bei der Mirage ist das Radar noch etwas komplexer, da mehr Modi und Einstellungsmöglichkeiten. Im Gegensatz zur MiG-21bis ist sie jedoch noch nicht "komplett". Interessant sind auf jeden Fall beide Muster.

Nehmt's mir bitte nicht böse: Für so etwas würde ich auf fundiertes Wissen (reale Handbücher, Manuals) zurück greifen. In Linos Guide ist doch der ein oder andere Fehler drin, gerade im neuen Bereich (BFM). Darüber hinaus bin ich wirklich gespannt. Ich weiß wie wahnsinnig viel Zeit man benötigt um diese Materie wirklich zu verstehen, geschweige sie denn korrekt und transparent zu erklären. Wir sprechen hier über Jahre. Und das auch nur, wenn man z.B. jemanden hat, der das in real life auch kann. Wir Laien - ohne reale Tipps und nur mit Handbüchern - können das nur mehr schlecht als recht erklären. Aus dem obigen Text lese ich, dass ihr ca. einen Monat dafür übt ... Aus eigener Erfahrung - und aus Deinen letzten Tutorials - ist es immer ein Unterschied, ob ich mir für Tutorials etwas anlese/ ausprobiere oder ob ich das Gezeigte schon lange Zeit selber anwende und wirklich verinnerlicht habe. Ich denke das ist auch der Grund, warum die Ka-50 Tutorials nicht mehr so hochwertig waren (Inhalte falsch/ vergessen). Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich selbst nicht mehr "massig" drehe, sondern mich seit Anfang des Jahres ausführlich mit L-39 und Mirage beschäftige. Weil Videos dann weniger Vorbereitung brauchen und das Gezeigte wirklich sitzt und fundiert ist. Die ersten A-10C Videos damals benötigten keine Vorbereitung und Recherche, das kam alles aus dem ff.

+1 Would be nice, if this 3rd coalition could be also "civilian". I know, we only have a few civilian aircraft in the sim, but for intercept exercises and thoose DCS modules which make use of IFF, it would be a great addition to the realism.

Would be nice, if ED adds TACAN and radio frequencies to the larger U.S. ships (carriers, destroyers, frigates). They could be used for off-set navigation near the coast. According to the book "Jane's at the controls: How to fly and fight in the F/A-18 Hornet", U.S. carriers, destroyers and frigates are able to transmitt a TACAN signal. Thus they are large ships, it's a TACAN with full capability, like land based TACAN stations.

MadCatz (former Saitek) will offer a new HOTAS in the next month(s), the X-56 "Rhino". Based on the X-55 with some new features and slightly redesigned, this HOTAS and fill the price class between the X-52 Pro and the Thrustmaster "Warthog". On amazon, preorder price is about 250 Euro. MadCatz promises, that they listened to all the feedback from the X-55 and its issues/ bugs. They use some new materials (maybe metal?) and added some new features to the HOTAS. + On the throttle and stick are two new mini analog stick controls. + The hand rest is adjustable, again (like in the X-52 models). + The X-56 uses 16bit hall sensors, which offers high precision flying. Here some bugs on the X-55, which were be addressed on the new HOTAS. X-55 issue: too much glue used on the throttle, this caused a tough movement solution X-56: issue solved, MadCatz has a new supplier which uses higher production quality X-55 issue: bad ergonomics, some buttons are hard to reach solution X-56 : the hand rest is adjustable, again. Übrigens: MadCatz bringt demnächst einen neuen HOTAS heraus, der im wesentlichen viele Verbesserungen zum X-55 "Rhino" aufweist, aber eben keine komplette Neuentwicklung darstellt. X-56 "Rhino" Der Preis liegt laut Amazon aktuell bei 250 Euro, ich denke nach kurzer Zeit wird sich dieser ebenfalls bei ca. 200 Euro einpendeln. Also preislich zwischen dem X-52 Pro und dem Thrustmaster Warthog (welche dieses Jahr wohl auch ein neues HOTAS Modell vorstellen wollen). Laut einem Projektbeteiligten von MadCatz auf Reddit.com, werden viele Mängel des X-55 (aus den Kundenfeedbacks) behoben. Neben diesen Verbesserungen weißt der HOTAS zwei neuen analoge Drehregler (1x am Stick, 1x am Throttle) auf, welche zusätzlich mit einem Schalter versehen sind.

Hi, since the latest patch, the anti-collision lights turn on only, if the engines reaches 20% RPM. With battery switch on, the anti-collision lights stay off. Is this a correct behavior or a bug?

Radar on in our mission, but no one was jamming (as far as I know) and no locks. Just in a simple level flight.
