Thanks for participating and also for other info as well, since it was behaving the same for you I will focus all my attention to temp folder, have some ideas how to know for sure if it's caused by it, I will test this in a few hours
-
Try something custom on Caucasus, simple mission like taking off from runway. It's weird that temp folder was always empty in your case. It should have some data inside after first exit to desktop.

I would try to reseat the GPU again and also change DP or HDMI cable that you are currently using. Also do you have any type of anti sag card support/holder installed? I am asking because RX 6900 XT is a huge GPU and pins could possibly not make good contact inside PCIe slot due to sheer weight of the GPU. If you don't have card support/holder after GPU reseating try placing your case horizontally on the ground and see if the issue remains. EDIT: with gravity pushing GPU down into the slot of course

Ok I need a little community help I need someone to delete DCS TEMP folder and choose a single mission that he will do the test on, it must be the same mission. 1. After deleting DCS TEMP folder from AppData launch the game and load that mission you choose 2. It should load fine, fly for a few seconds then, this is very important, QUIT TO DESKTOP using ESC menu 3. Launch the game again and try to load same mission restart/fly again few times, if it works close the game and go to step 4 4. Launch the game again just to test if the specific mission is still loading fine multiple times if it does exit the game 5. Again delete DCS TEMP folder from AppData launch the game again load the mission but this time don't quit to desktop, try to restart/fly again, did it crash? That is the question I am after, because so far it is behaving like that consistently for me, but we all know that these crashes are so unpredictable that it may be just pure luck.

If it doesn't break any domestic laws for that version of the aircraft I don't see any reason why Mikoyan wouldn't give permission/license. They would also get cut from module sales I guess?

SFC check passed, CPU and RAM stability tested thoroughly for many hours using prime95, linpack64, memtest64, memtest86 no errors found GPU driver version: 21.3.1 WHQL Spotted some Windows related errors with DCS crashes in DxDiag but those seem unrelated to these crashes and appeared when I was reinstalling KB5001330 Windows version: DxDiag.txt

These access violation errors some of us are getting with 2.7 are just that, OS is protecting itself from seemingly faulty software that wants to write/read from somewhere in the RAM where it's not allowed to which causes program to crash. If it let it do it's thing it could potentially brick OS or other software on the PC that is currently running in the main system memory, no hardware damage should occur from these type of errors but major software problems can and after some time surely would but with these fail safes that are within OS that shouldn't happen.

@-Relax- They fixed it internally which means in the next update it's going to be fine, I think there is also a fix in the meantime by developer of J-11A but I didn't test if it works
-
Possibly, but the thing is that crashes are so inconsistent that you don't even know if it's the fix you applied or just it randomly decided to work. I had 2 days of it working flawlessly and it started crashing again, nothing on the system changed in those 2 days, no new software/ no new Windows updates... This is very hard to diagnose sadly
-
Hehe no need to be specific, I understand we went off topic when it is obvious that DCS has nothing to do with issue OP is experiencing, we don't even know if it's a software or hardware issue... I agree. I said this few times in the main crash thread, I at first also fell into that trap of "it's fixed" at the very beginning but soon realized it is so inconsistent that you can't even know if something you tried actually fixed it. Heck my game started working perfectly for 2 days just to start crashing again almost on every second mission launch. Of course never had a crash in 2.5.6 but I like to beta test and find solutions so I will stick with these bugged builds and help as much as I can

Software is controlling hardware, keep that in mind. Simplest example, you can in many instances with manufacturer software or exploits access specific parts of hardware that control voltage for specific components and you can set them beyond recommended and many times even beyond allowed values which would in turn kill the component (sometimes instantly) or shorten it's lifespan. Also there are programs that can indirectly damage hardware due to lack of adequate cooling such as power viruses. There are also many other ways to use software and damage hardware, it just depends what type of hardware it is.

For some currently unknown reason someone decided that shaders are generated every time at startup of any loading, that should impact loading times greatly (basically before 2.7 only on the first fresh launch of the game without any user data you would get this longer loading screen), and since that is major change I have some suspicion that it's responsible for these crashes in some way.
-
I mean... lets just say that "cannot" is a too strong of a word in that sentence Anyway it's 99.99% not the case here and OP has some other issue.
-
Can confirm, also mirrors are broken and 6DOF is also broken, only J-11A seems to be affected @-Relax- maybe it's better to post it in J-11A subforum here?

Such great news, I won't celebrate too early but oh boy oh boy our coaxial rotor bird is not forgotten! I hope electrical system overhaul is also planned

My game didn't crash for two days but few minutes ago decided to crash during opening custom mission in the mission editor btw that was not first load of the mission I already played for a bit before it happened. Not running in full screen definitely seems to make the overall game more stable for me, or at least it feels like it, but sadly crashes still happen from time to time during those loading screens.

reported earlier MiG-29 IAS cockpit instrument incorrect reading
XPACT replied to XPACT's topic in Flaming Cliffs Bugs & Problems
Bump, still not fixed in 2.7.0.5118 Open Beta only posting this because I see that FC3 planes are getting some minor fixes in the updates, including MiG-29, since this is very important flight instrument it could be even considered major bug at this point and I would imagine it's not that hard to fix since HUD is working perfectly. @BIGNEWY is this bug even on the table? -
I am not using full screen for some time now and I must say that crashes are almost non existent for me currently, still can happen tho. I flew few times today with new update, didn't crash but since people still report that it's happening I am not too optimistic that main cause was found.

I think it's the rain droplets, made a post about it some time ago also no official response https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/268606-hud-filter-doesnt-render-correctly-with-rain-droplets/?tab=comments#comment-4631829

Ok lets start As I understood we were talking here about having old clouds and someone having new ones in MP that is unacceptable, clouds off are a no go too because clouds are to flight sim equally important as terrain and water. What I said is that difference between low and ultra of new clouds is not too big in overall visibility of something in the cloud, more so on low setting clouds are smudging around when you move the camera and look around making the game almost unplayable for me at least and giving you massive disadvantage. There could be some advantage to low versus ultra but it's currently not in a state like in some games where you indeed can turn off vegetation and have massive advantage... Call me magician, but I've seen too much DxDiags around here that I know for sure flight simmers have above average hardware of course there are people playing with mid range stuff and that is fine, after all my GPU is in current times considered very mid range but I am not willing to pay 3x MSRP for newer ones now... But back on track, what I said in that comment is assumption after all and I could be wrong, but it is known that with current generation of GPUs it is very hard to max them out in the DCS without usage of VR and that is a fact. Well since I know thing or two about different rendering/computational APIs, I must disagree. We are talking future here. DX11 and Vulkan or DX12 for that matter is like comparing Fiat500 and Formula 1, both can finish a lap but khmm... Functions that are available, variable rate shading, massively reduced CPU overhead are just some things that by itself guarantee massive FPS difference in open world simulators like this which rely on massive amounts of both CPU (usually single core) and GPU computation, of course that is if implemented correctly, especially with older AMD architectures that have huge computational power and were never good in DX11 to begin with. But most importantly Vulkan greatly expands possibilities regarding graphical fidelity that can be achieved with current hardware that is made with Vulkan and DX12 in mind, real time raytracing for example which is the future of rendering reflections, shadows and global illumination, but what is also important in my opinion is that Vulkan integration allows game to be available on Linux/other operating systems one day, considering how Windows development is going I wouldn't be surprised if it loses massive user base in the years to come but that is still far away for now.
-
Khmm, what is considered massive? I surely have 20 fps less both min and max than before... I guess it goes into that 30% less performance territory then again I run clouds on ultra so... could be that... But my performance wasn't bad to start with in 2.5.6 so I don't really notice it most of the time except when benchmarking. I uninstalled the update but fps is completely same with and without it for me.

First of all great job on the update, love the direction we are heading ! Now... It's not game breaking or anything but it looks to me like the most upper layer of clouds is not up to par with the rest of them as they have that chessboard pattern all over them, in low light conditions it looks even worse (I don't know the name of that layer) here are some pictures, clouds are set to ultra. Hehe it's hard to keep up the same standards everywhere when they look this good, for example in this picture cockpit polygons are showing their age and destroy somewhat photo realistic image... Clouds are stunning indeed, not only in this high overcast scenario but overall and in my opinion they brought the sim to another level

Do you use steam or standalone? With steam right click DCS World in library -> properties -> betas -> select open beta With standalone I think it's done via DCS Updater
