  1. Does anyone have any advice on how this works within DCS World? I'm just downloading the A-10 Beta now and wondering if I can pull my config straight across
  2. I know there are some instances where firing a laser from time of launch can create an undershoot situation as the bomb spends momentum chasing the beam. I figure though if you are lasing something like a blackshark which has a LWR on board its going to get all kinds of crazy going off in its cockpit to warn it about being painted, similarly with a newer tank, so it might IRL lead to earlier evasive action from a target then you were wanting.
  3. The suggestions I have seen were mainly around ensuring that the keys you use on HID dont have anything else mapped in their native state. To me that sort of defeated the purpose of using HID in the first place (i.e. if you use G on keyboard 2 as CDU G then make sure you un-map G so HID doesn't send a G and a Shift G etc) but to got me thinking that the easiest thing to do is not run HID Macro and set the CDU to be the letters on your Keyboard and just remap anything that is using an unmodified key (i.e. G for gear toggle) to have a modifier (i.e. G for gear should be LSHFT+G) This way your second keyboard can be used as a CDU/UFC scratchpad and your main keyboard, can be used with the modifier (for example when it says press SPACE to continue and it really means send a PAC-1 sequence to continue) and you wont need HID
  4. Possibly. The maps have not been update since 1.1.0.7 and at the time only the A, B taxi ways were labelled. Where taxiways were not identified, a generic clockwise approach was taken to give consistency for multi-player operations. At some point I will revisit though this will likely be after the Black shark patch.
  5. Yeah you shouldnt need to drag anything. Have a look at the 'how to export all viewports thread which has the proper syntax for the viewport files.
  6. My second monitor is actually on the left as far as windows was concerned in that photo, it was just placed on the right hand side for space considerations with the desk. Now my second monitor is positioned below the main one.
  7. So both those options kind of defeat the purpose of using HIDMACROS :)
  8. This does help quite a lot, thanks very much :)
  9. They seem to have renamed a number of the airfields recently. I havent had a chance to update my diagrams to match so I suspect you will find that it was called Soganlug, and was renamed in the 1.1.0.8 or 1.1.0.9 patches to Lochini, however not every reference has been caught.
  10. I was trying to use HID to make a second Keyboard into a CDU with the CDU keys assigned to various things (mostly LSHFT Letter) I would find though that when I pressed G on the second keyboard for example the CDU would get a G key press but also the landing gear would toggle. The author of HIDMACRO suggested it had to do with the way that DCS was trapping the input type.
  11. Darn... LOL, One day I will find a way to get my second keyboard CDU
  12. I've been using Hawgtouch on a network PC which has been working quite happily, however I would like to try and find a way to pass keystrokes from the keyboard across the network which Hawgtouch does not do. The goal is to use a second keyboard as a CDU input and minimise the number of applications running on the main PC I recall Touchbuddy did this, but can anyone tell me if Helios accepts keystrokes as input i.e. can I map the second keyboard to send CDU input up to the main PC.
  13. Which patch was it working with? I was not able to get it to pass the modified keystate without it passing the unmodified state as well.
  14. Sounds like a bad instance of SST or your profil. Try creating a new profile tha tjus thas the hat controls in it, see if that works. If it does then its a bad profile, if it doesnt try reinstalling SST and see what that does
  15. This post here I just reapplied it to my CDU_init.lua and it was all good
  16. Tommy, I got mine working, I ended up going back to the most recent revised post on the code that's changed in the init file and redoing the file from my original. Will see about posting from home later tonight.
  17. I was wondering if anyone has seen any type of mod for a FFB joystick to make it behave more like a Collective for a helo. I'm thinking specifically an application that might make the stick push fully forward so that you were pulling the stick back towards you rather than having it centred? I've been debating giving black shark a bit more of a try, but would like to find a way to get something resembling a collective happening.
  18. Perhaps try a quick remap of the slew controls in the game options. Click on the keyboard input for Slew left, click clear click add, move the slew stick left, check you get the same key, then rinse and repeat for the others. I recall that the profile also uses bands to simulate slew slow and slew fast, check that it changes when you move the stick a little left, and then a lot left. .
  19. Do you have the profile loaded? I recall the profile binds it to ;:'" or there abouts, so if you were to open notepad and slew you should see those keys appear in notepad
  20. No I dont think its made it in. Its kind of annoying as its a good way to deal with TrackIR offset as you slouch on a long flight, but I just address with an F12 press ;)
  21. I started this project a couple years back for a local youth group and am currently in the process of handing it off to someone with more of an interest in gliders to finish. Personally Id like to put a hog pit in the space it occupies. I thought I would post some pictures. The frame is a from an Astir, and using one of leos boards, I have operational control surfaces, brakes, spoilers and tow release, instruments are all working using a Helios like app for Condor, the supported sim.
  22. I realised you could also use the same technique to do an AOA indicator. Im really considering getting one now as the output you achieved looks great and then a few of these http://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Model_2120/index.htm to drive the switches. As I said in my other post the main thing I cant figure is how to do the radio frequencies, as this board seems to support a 7 segment LED but it doesnt really say how to use it to draw a number in the manual have you had any ideas on that?
  23. You add UIMainView = Viewports.Center to the bottom of your LUA file. It was mentioned in the OP but seems to have fallen off during an edit.
  24. Yeah I cant get it to work for the CDU. The issue seems to be that DCS sees the modified press and the unmodified one due to the way it grabs the keyboard input. It will work for say a where the alternate key press is not mapped, but if you map it to something like G you will get the mapped input and the non mapped (i.e. CDU G and gear down) I've posted on the HIDMACRO Forum, but there doesnt seem to be a fix.
