hey guys, just downloaded and installed a clean install of beta 4 (not the patch). I have everything set to high, and am getting like 60 fps with no action going on! In comparison it was probably around 20 before. Let me say something though. When engaging enemies with the gun, or just using the gun in general, when the rounds impact the ground my fps drops by like 30 lol. Bad stuff. But in general very good. I found that the clutter/bushes doesnt even look that great so I just keep it off. This is a huge improvement FPS wise over the last beta. Just fix the gun fps problem and youll be all good :thumbup:

ok, so i ordered, thanks for the help guys, cant believe i almost wasted money on that clip :doh: so, once i get it, how do i configure it or whatever? Also, do I need to run some kind of program before playing DCS in order for trackir to work? Also, I heard it is recommended to assign a button on your joystick to the function that like resets your head position, is this true? Will the TIR software automatically detect your joystick so I can assign a button on the stick instead of a keyboard button? Thanks I'm so excited to finally get a TIR!

Hello, I want to purchase the bundle for Track IR 5. It is like 10 dollars shipping added on to the already outrageous price for the actual product! Is there any website i can order the bundle from that has free shipping. This is insane - paying 200 dollars for this product. Not sure if this is worth it or not anymore...

The next aircraft is obviously the F-16. ED already has a contract with the USAF, and the F-16 is the premier multi-roll fighter of the USAF. ED DOES NOT have a contract with the Navy. The Navy flys the Superhornet. The F-16 is a widely recognized aircraft. There is LOADS of information of the F-16 in general, and with the USAF contract....well you get the point. I cannot wait to see an F-16, no matter what the variant.

This really isnt the way to go, necessarily... Your joystick has a radius of movement of less than a few inches... The radius for the REAL A-10's joystick is what like a foot or so? Your joystick has a MUCH smaller range of motion than the real thing, therefor each input your provide will have a MUCH greater effect on the aircraft than it would in the real thing. Keep that in mind.

So...Beta 4? Any idea how much longer?

I saw in blackshark there was a pilot in the cockpit when you sitting in the VC, will there be one in A-10? I think it would be pretty cool.

dude there is a much simper method somebody else explained...change the version in the registry editor.

Yep, I got that since the first beta came out. The thing is, I had to do a really weird method of installing on beta 3 since it at first gave me an error. Just wanted to make sure the problem wasn't on my end.

glad im not alone. I think it is only some missions. Also, if they were scanning for targets but didnt have any, they would say that, not that we can depart. They would tell us to wait.

Out of the two missions ive played so far, both JTACs keep telling me "thanks for the work, you may depart." even though it was the first time ive contacted them.
