Nope... S-8 and S13 where born during Astan war .. mid 80's... to have more "Booom" for cave busting ... S-5K penetration was 130mm. S-5 had also concrete piercing warhead... I guess for airfield runaway piercing too.
-
The odd part is that RuAF used for tank killing S-5K. The high ranking pilots where named Sniper after being capable to hit moving targets with at least 3-4 Rocket projectiles.
-
Bollocks... We never bother to ask the Eastern Brother if we can update our planes.. We just did it... End result it was considered the Sniper program was not cost effective since Lancer was already in production. Conclusion ... not worth it for some 16 old Mig 29's we had... Mig RSK has nothing to have with it.

I know that.. SFW destruction is create via solid penetrator and not plasma jet :) just a thing ... end result is what matters
-
hmmm .. not sure if is HEAT (high explosive anti-tank). The SFW form the projectile out of copper and project it downwards... So in this matter it acts more like a solid penetrator (a preaty damn good one too).

Kh-27PS ..is a ARM missile version of Kh-23 that was used by the Mig 27. Still it was replaced or it run in paralel with Kh-25P and 25MP.
-
ED agreed...The Mig 21 "CAN" be added ONLY IF...

Why don't you guys ask for help in SFP1 community. If there is something they know to do... is create very good models. -
:D
-
errr.. no.. :) (I mean I know about that ) ... let JJ explaind that thsoe where not Carriers :)
-
WTF? JJ you are getting sloppy... :) 3 carriers?:) Soviet Navy never had a single carrier ... :) (ok ok they had 20% of one ..unless it was a cruiser too )

The start of a revolution for LOMAC??

And you lacked complectly the talent :D -
What do you mean new damagr?? like turrets poping up.. which is likelly the outcome death of a T-72. Zaelu , GAU-8 will have actully quite a good chance to detonate the ERA packages and then penetrating the remaining hull. Think of the sheer number of projectile that will rain down on th poor T-72.
-
sure ... that's due to their bad maintenance and old airframes :D
-
Su-35 will see active service :)

You can't be possible away from the truth.. Only S Africa bough them. Hun. and Cz R Leased them.. They act as sweedish planes detached in other country, they ar emantained by Sweedish personal. If one brakes down, a plane from SwAF is sent to take place. Hun and CZAf don't own shit on those Grippens. -
Missiles useless in version 1.12a?
tomcat1974 replied to aimmaverick's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Why nobody think of the main thing there .. the mens in E-E.. Russian vs Ukrainians Pilots.. Both sides had relativelly same type of weapons (god knows how it was stored/smashed/hit by car - is not that the africans are well known for theire carefull procedures). Both sides had same thype of Radar. Both side knew who is the adversary. Both sides knew what are their technical capabilities in BVR. Both sides knew what to do in order to deny the launch of R-27 in their best parameters.. Everything ended in a close fight where the first who made a mistake was dead... that's it.. regarding AIM-7 initial performace.. Was due to many cases by missile malfunctioning due to very sensitive to shocks of the gyro units of the guidance unit. Moisture/landing -take of Cycles/sensitive tube electronics took their toll... -
Main point of the Woe is its modability i think.

JJ .. he is busy :) and he is in US now .

Hey Wags, any new screenshots for today?
tomcat1974 replied to Fudd's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
well not likely in those numbers -
Russian/WP used Kh28, Kh58, Kh25MP on Mig 25BM, Su22M3U I think, and Su24MP , and of course there where ARM heads for Kh22

Shouldn't the SU33 be able to carry 4x R27ET's?
tomcat1974 replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Realistique is not because the weapon system can't know more than 2 different weapons. So such things like 2xR60 +2xR73 +2xR27R are just for demo and maybe for using without using the weapons system -

tomcat1974 replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Doesn't matter regarding the R-73 if is russian or not. R-73 entered in service in 1987. If the book came after 1987 then it might be the 9.13S. -

tomcat1974 replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Bingo. That's the only reason. That and the lack of the wiring for it. Same reason that no real life Mig29 A (iz9.12) never carrier R-27T (clearlly seen in the manual of combat...only missiles present there are R-27R1 and R-60MK). -
The gunsight was used to aim the R60 missiles and R-40TD SFP1 is strike fighter project one ... a light weight sim based on the jet planes of 60's-70's (not much avionics)... and is very modable too . Maybe this helps , supposelly a Mig-25P. See no Radar screen. Anyway I need all the good pictures for a cockpit. Pictures are from aeronautics.ru .
