  1. You don't think having a wing fold switch on a Viper controller is silly? How about a hook switch? A flap switch? Should I go on? Maybe it's not silly? Useless might be a better word. When a Warthog controller is sold. Who gets the profit? I didn't know France owned the company. France is fine. Way better than China. What's your connection with WinWing?

    Trackir 5 Wanted

Ok, no bites. I just bought a new one.
  5. Two more reasons I bought a Warthog from Thrustmaster direct. Made in America. I ordered it 1 hour ago and it's already shipped and will be here Friday.
  6. Trackir5 with pro clip wanted. Whatcha got?
  7. I guess my heart is with the Hog. I'm getting a bit old for the fast paced fighters and the slow Hog suits me better. I realized it when talking about getting the Viper HOTAS. So, I just ordered another Warthog directly from Thrustmaster. I know it will be new with an unopened box. I don't trust businesses anymore. Especially, Amazon.
  8. I'm ready to buy this tonight but it's an F-16 throttle. I wish they would have labeled the switches for just the Viper. A switch for wing fold, hook etc is just silly and a copout for WinWing. Not a deal breaker but i'm not happy about it. It would be like the Warthog HOTAS having a wing fold switch. How much flak would they have gotten for that? Those AP switches on the Hornet throttle are similar.
  9. Rob............I have been at this awhile. 5 warthogs, VKB, and Virpil. I'm curious about the WinWing though. I've tried the green spring and an extesion on the Warthogs and never have been satisfied with it. All it has going for it is if I fly the A-10C II. It just seems right. I am leaning towards the Hornet. 20 years with BMS is enough of the Viper. I find the Hornet more interesting now. I'm even considering the high end WinWing but that throttle is kind of bulky but the long throw is tempting. I should just save the money and buy the Orion. I can add the panels if I need more buttons. What am I saying? We always need more buttons.
  10. Ok, no problem. It didn't hurt to ask. I found a new one for $549 shipped. That's as good as it gets here in the US. I'm still trying to decide if I want to concentrate on the the A-10C II or Hornet. I'll get the Orion for the Hornet. It's in stock now but that won't last long. I'll sleep on it tonight and buy something tomorrow. I see a lot of guys complain that the Orion is stiff. Does it feel as stiff as a Warthog? I'm talking about no extensions on either one. Thanks.
  11. Here's a new tool. Give it a try.
  12. I guess the silence means no?
  13. I see it listed on their website now. Of course it's out of stock but was it in stock last night?
  14. I like the Warthog throttle, except for the slew. However, the Orion throttle looks like a step up.
  15. Very impressive and the reason old guys aren't combat pilots. That's way way beyond my old brain.
  16. G-Onset is how fast a plane can build up G's. In other words it's how fast the plane can accelerate in a turn. That could be the accelerated rates they're talking about.
  17. Excellent! Thank you.
  18. Patience is a virtue.
  19. Here you go. Everything will be come clear when you read all of this. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/thunderbolt_flight_manual_en/
  20. I believe it means how fast the plane can build up G's.
  21. Very good test. Thanks for doing it. Now that you have the Orion. Do you want to sell the Warthog?
  22. Make sure you're going to like it. Not everybody does. It's a lot of money for something you might not like. I love the Viper and always wanted to try it, but the price is hard to swallow.
  23. Thanks everybody for the likes and thanks. I try to stay positive. The minute I say i'm too old. I'll be too old. Just ignore your age and keep doing what you enjoy. I still elk hunt alone ay 11,000ft in my Colorado Rockies. I can't quit. I love elk meat and hunting with my old Hawken muzzleloader. Carry on.
  24. This is the same radio that's in the Hornet. Will we need the other radios we have in the Hog now? Providing, we do get it,
  25. It depends on what plane you fly. It's a Hornet stick and it's perfect for flying the Hornet. It's one switch short for flying the Viper or Hog. Going the other way the Hog grip work perfect for the Hog and Viper and I like it for the Hornet too because it has the extra switch which works perfect for zoom. So, it's a personal choice. If all I flew was the Hornet i'd want the Hornet grip. Although the WinWing Orion is a much better choice than the Warthog HOTAS with Hornet grip.
