[Offer] Real World Manual

Recommended Posts

Heiho, a very popular version of a real world flight manual of the F-86 Sabre can be found here:

http://aviationshoppe.com/manuals/f-86_flight_manual/f-86.html

It covers the E-variant (we got the F-variant) but it also covers later models of the E-variant which has the same instruments as the F-variant so it can be perfectly used for our needs.

It explaines every system in the airplane like the fuel or hydraulic system and the function of every knob and switch. It also has many procedures in it, normal as well as emergency.

For those who lack a manual from Belsimtek this should help you out until they created one :) (Be aware that some switches currently are not implemented in the DCS version)

I have lots of manuals for the F86A,E, F, H, K, GE J47 etc, and I can upload all of them if anyone can recommend a file hosting service (I have previously used uploaded.net, but they seem a bit dodgy).

WOW great news, but I don't know the best hosting service, sorry.

Thanks in advance, Skull.

Thank you, thi is the banner from Milviz for fsx´s F-86F-30.

And if, the DCS Sabre is great:thumbup:

Many thanks for the handbooks drPhibes Pilot_salute1.gif

Although not directly related to the F-86F/35 we have, here's some original training films for the FJ2 Fury (the navy version of the F-86 Sabre).

And a few other F-86 related ones.

Thanks DrPhibes for the amazing links to those manuals. After reading them I had a couple questions but I suppose I posted them in the wrong thread which was more about the in-game F-86 and my question is about the actual F-86 below:

I have a question about G limits. In the manual, it is stated that "F-86F-1 through F-86F-35 airplanes changed by T.O. 1F-86F-511, and F-86F-40 airplanes" have 7 G max positive symmetric load.

On a couple pages after detailing the G loads for the plane in different configurations, it is then stated that "Positive G limits for airplanes not changed by T.O. 1F-86F-544 are 5.0 G for straight pull-outs and 3.3 G for rolling pullouts".

Does anyone know what these technical orders are and if they applied to Korean-War F-86F's or our F-86?

I've never heard of an F-86E or F being limited to only +5G clean, yet the 1F-86E-1 and 1F-86F-1 manuals entail that there was no +7G capability until after the Korean War.

Thanks for the manual. It is very helpful. It is helping me appreciate the details in the Belsimtek model of the Sabre. For instance, almost everything that is involved in the real life cold start can be done in the simulation, including performing normal systems checks, alternate system checks. (I have to see if we can perform a flight control emergency override system check) The level of system modeling is very impressive. With the manual, I can spend six months worth of weekends just learning the little details and nuances of how to understand the equipment and get the most out of my swept wing ride. Thanks again for posting the manuals!

Nice manuals, but I'm missing LABS, anyone got any idea how or where to get that info?

I know about 'over the shoulder' , but I'm hoping there's a better and more accurate way to toss bombs.

If it's only intended for small Nukes, I guess I should just forget it. But is it?

Many thanks for these manuals.

Its what makes these simulations just that, simulations.

Just like the A10C and the KA50, the need to study and practise flying and fighting the aircraft is the reward!

Best regards
