FireCat Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Is it still possible to be added to the list? I'd be very happy if you could add me to the release list. Regards, Phil Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk Hi Miles / FireCat. I would like to be added to the list if possible. Good luck with the launch, It sounds like you've done a great deal of development work to get to this point, I'm sure it will pay off. What is the latest. I just cant read the whole thread but did get through half of it. Wish to be on the list. Is there a link to a central location for all the pertinent info? You have been added to the list link below. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3862014&postcount=690 Also if you haven't, please read MilesD post link below. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3860382&postcount=660. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3935380&postcount=1116 Cost. FireCat Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Thanks, ..... I think? lol There is a great Pit discussion here - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=167971 the benevolent Dictator hath spoken! lmao We in the Testing and Evaluation Section are working on the Zoom feature instructionals and video's right now. Very cool stuff! Massive thank you to you guys Los, mariner3302 and hansangb for testing giving the feedback and creating the excellent video's that will make setup all the more easier for the rest of us I know we all look forward to viewing them. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
Ratcatcher Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Thanks, ..... I think? lol There is a great Pit discussion here - https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=167971 Thanks for the link! Wow, what a great thread! There's a lot of very talented people out there!!! Did you post anything about how you made the joystick stand in another thread or did I miss that? Or was it a case of raiding your nearest hardware store and trying different pipes to see what worked? Harlikwin Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Just a suggestion Firecat/miles For the ordering updates can you guys create a "locked" thread just posting out the groups? trudging through 113 pages is a bit much for most people as is checking this thread every few days. Just have Post 1 how it works. Post 2 serving customers XYZ, post3 serving customers ABC, etc. Easy to check and don't allow other posts there. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
avidflyer Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Hello, Your project is awesome and Iam looking for a device to interact wit the vr world. At this time I use a mouse to interacted. Can someone please answer my questions regarding the operation of this great device. How the device does the device is operated? The same way as a mouse? When I take the mouse under Vr and like to switch a switch I have to freeze any movement until I got the switch in the desired position. Is this like the same with the pointclr ? Is there a video to see how it works? Thanks
Los Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 In case you missed it there's a video on the first page of this thread... Los
MilesD Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 Just a suggestion Firecat/miles For the ordering updates can you guys create a "locked" thread just posting out the groups? Yes, I think that s a great idea. I like this thread for feedback and sharing progress its almost useless for someone like avidflyer to try and figure out the current status. I did not see an option to start a locked thread, Is that something a moderator has to do?. I will start organizing some data as you suggested and format into an single information post. The same data will be added to the PointCTRL web site wich is WIP. Thanks for the direction Harilwin, Hello, Your project is awesome and Iam looking for a device to interact wit the vr world. Is there a video to see how it works? Thanks The cursor mostly stays where it is when you move your head, but its not perfect. When you move your head left and keep your hand stationary, the cursor will not follow the headset like a normal mouse. The cursor will sweep right with the rest of the cockpit until it reaches it limits. Its definitely much easier than a mouse. Los Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 In the cockpit, the device is intuitive to use right from the get go. There's not a terrible amount of thought required to use it, which is nice when you are screaming along at under 100' feet setting things for the final pop up. Los

aaron886 Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Exciting stuff, congrats Miles. Thank you for your efforts and transparency with this project. All the guys who helped test and Firecat for managing the list, thank you also. Looking forward to seeing how this pairs with the Rift S soon!
MilesD Posted June 5, 2019 Author Posted June 5, 2019 (edited) My number won’t be up for a while, but could you provide a little more detail on the “additional items” section? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yea, I really need to get the web site up. The additional items are essentially spare parts. If you break an FCU case, you can just replace it. While the batteries just plug in, they are not intended to be quick change. Lipo batteries usually last at least 300 cycles depending on use. The extra batteries are for when they start to degrade. If customers have more than 1 V/R headset the then can purchase another HMS mount and micro USB cable and just switch the PCB between the two. I hope that helps. All the guys who helped test and Firecat for managing the list, thank you also. Looking forward to seeing how this pairs with the Rift S soon! Having Los, Hansang, Mariner, and Firecat on-board is huuuuge, and sped things up so much. I had tunnel vision on so many things because I was not really flying with it much. Los, Hansang, and Mariner would point out the real world stuff I was missing. Los is always anticipating "What would the average user do", Mariner spends countless hours setting up, testing, and working through issues over the phone with me, Hansang is focused on updating documentation to ensure users don't get frustrated, and of course his awesome videos, and FireCat jumped in on his own initiative to keep everybody in "que", answers questions, or directs members where they can find the answer. I often thanked the community their support and jumping in to assist others, and while Los, Hansang, Mariner, and Firecat know I thanked them a lot privately, I want to thank them publicly, Thanks Guys, I would still be screwing around with stuff if it weren't for you. Now, I just have to deliver, and keep this train on the tracks.
