there is a G-BREATH EFFECT option in the audio options after update, but i can't hear any breathing on high-g turns, any clues?

Can't hear it, too. Even in a 4 - 5 g turn, I can't hear it.

I just had the breath effect in the SU-27 during hard pulls (pretty cool I must add), hadn't any in the A-10C.

Maybe 4G is not enough. 4G is not a significant load IRL

Can't we just have a breathing effect even if we're flying 1G ?

Confirm... Those effects are only for FC3 I guess... A-10C even at 5-7G pulls nothing, su-25T either. The wingtips are also COMPLETELY wrong. Almost invisible, and you need very high G pulls for wingtips for the su-25T.

The wingtip vortices depend on how much moisture is in the air, here in Nevada they aren't very visible at all. As air moisture is not a variable modeled in DCS, they must be using some average estimate for the whole sim.

The G-breathing technique is only used at very high G loads that are difficult to maintain for significant periods of time in the A-10C due to the nature of the aircraft, especially with a full load of fuel and/or munitions. This is not a "bug" or a problem IMO. In real life, pilots strain heavily and stress certain muscles to keep blood from exiting the upper portions of the body (mainly the brain) from moving to the lower portions of the body, because that is where gravity forces it to go in very high positive G situations. If enough blood exits the brain because gravity is pushing the blood down toward your feet, your brain will very rapidly become deprived of oxygen and you will very quickly pass out. It only takes seconds for this to happen. This strained breathing technique is not necessary most of the time in the A-10C.

Why am I not getting them then ?

EDIT: HOW TO FIX: Ok guys. I tried disabling and re enabling it in options. I can now hear the G breath effect.

EDIT2: Confirm... before disabling and re-enabling it, the G breath effect parameter wasn't present in the options LUA file (C:\Users\"User"\Saved Games\DCS\Config)

EDIT3: Still not present in the A-10C.

To kind of add to this thread, the screen no longer fades to black when my pilot starts to black out either; though he can still lose consciousness!
