Lilkiki Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 I don't speak or read a word of german so many thanks for this usefull mod !! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
upupandaway Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) A very nice idea Gözcü. You clearly put in some work to make a helpful mod that the people who don´t speak any German can use. I hope you don´t mind if I comment on some of the translations: - where you wrote the "Kompan adjustment pretends" it should rather say "compass ring is adjustable" or "compass ring may deviate" (not entirely sure) - on the starter cover should be written "Starter operate only if aircraft (or a/c, or prop) is clear" - on the fuel pump fuzes it should read "rear" rather than "behind" (E13) - similarly for the selector switch of the fuel indicator where it says "in front", this should probably be just "front" - the fuze labeled "Special" could instead be "Ext." as it is used for external drop tanks (E85) - on the other fuze panel it should say "accumulator" rather than "collector" (A6) - E16 is the "landing gear motor" (i can´t read all that you wrote there) - on the trim switch it should read "nose heavy" instead of "top heavy" - the switches for landing gear operation should be labeled "undercarriage" or "landing gear", but not "rolling factory" :D (sry, but this translation is really funny) - the lever labeled "MW50-B4 change" could be "MW50-B4 select" - the big red "Notzug for use-dried" should be something like "Emergency pulley for control device" or similar It´s not my intention to diminish your work, but those particular translations stood out to me. ;) Edited October 5, 2014 by upupandaway [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
Viersbovsky Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Just to get this a bit less direct: - increase/decrease should be climb/sink - airplane anihilator should be emergency self destruct - Marker lamps are position lights Stuff you have yet to translate: - "prüfen" means "check" - "vorn / hinten" means "front/aft" or "front/rear" There are some other inconsistencies, but I will have to look up what the original german wording was. Feel free to ask if you are unsure, I bet a lot of native speakers would be glad to help out. Callsign "Lion"

upupandaway Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 - airplane anihilator should be emergency self destruct Suitable name for this handy device [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!
Viersbovsky Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Suitable name for this handy device Well, I wish that by pushing that button I could annihilate those pesky Mustangs on my 6 instead of my own ride. -"FT-Angela" should be FT-System Don´t know about that "Control" button, since it can mean both to "check" something as well as "command/steer" something (that´s one of the common "false friends" when it comes to german/english translations). So could be "Check" as well. I have no idea why it is called that way, but some technical terms from back then were pretty weird. - "vorderer Behälter zu" literally "front tank closed" /front tank valve closed, I´d go with "rear tank only" - "hinterer Behälter zu" literally "rear tank closed" /rear tank valve closed, I´d go with "front tank only" Factoid:"Not" means emergency At flaps and gear: "Ein/Aus" does probalby not mean "ON/OFF" but is rather short for "Eingefahren/Ausgefahren" "Retracted/Extracted" Callsign "Lion"

Viersbovsky Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 RTR for retract EXT for extend LDG for landing ? Good, but this are the 3 Settings for flaps (there is no landing): "AUS" "START" = "Takeoff" = "TKOFF" or something? "EIN" Gear only has 2 Settings, I´d go with "RTR" and "EXT" as you suggested. But that is all up to Gözcü to decide. Callsign "Lion"

IN/OUT perhaps Flaps: RTR, T/O or TO, EXT? V1.1 looks very good! I´m never gonna use it, but I like it ;) Who is FT-Angela? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Deedle, deedle!

DieHard Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) (re: Message #1) I looked around in the User Files for Fw-190 mods and saw your creation. I just added your mod to my JSGME. I created my own sub-folders sequence to a Fw-190 English Cockpit folder title, then added your .zip file. Works great. You did a nice job. Thank you. (I have a German surname, family originated from Kassel in the 12th Century. My ancestors came over with the William Penn colony. I don't read or speak German, though.)
