Since the last patches, I have not noticed getting a LWR warning from any ground units while flying multi-player. Only Jets and other Ka-50s are setting the LWR off. Other players confirm this. Is this a confirmed bug? thanks

Are you sure your not getting shot down by radar guided missiles? Your clans server maps especially have lots of those lol....

Ha ha. Can't make it too easy, can we? ;)

In particular, Avengers, Chaparrals, Strellas, Tanks etc. They are not giving any LWR spike what so ever. Would be nice to know what is going on with this.

I haven't been flying for a while due to the CTD issue but now when you mention it I remember beeing fired on by a T72 or T80 on 104th and not getting any LWR from their laser range finder.

Worth to investigate further...

So this is why I wasn't warned by T-72..... and then died.............

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

I've noticed the same and I notice sometimes during start up when I get the LWR going it starts going nuts saying all different kinds of directions then quits and when I run a test it doesn't work.

Come to think of it I was shot down by Abrams with no warning either. I didn't know what hit me until I saw it flash on the screen.

This is new "afterpatch" bug.It is happening when you fly ka-50 on FC2 serrvers.

Thank you Vecko! Finally some confirmation. Are you saying if the server hosts with DCS then the LWR works like before? If so, the 104th should consider hosting the 104th server with DCS. Panzertard will have to update his awesome server monitor to work with DCS though.

Hiya, tried to confirm, and ran a small mission (multiplayer , locally hosted), and did get an LWR (KA50 vs Abrahms), unfortunately was unable to test on 104th training server yet...server has crashed! ...:) .. will try later on to confirm.

Hmmm I was fighting against T-72 or T-80 don't remember and it didn't give me any laser warn... then RIP :S

Maybe Abraamses give LWR signal ?

I dont know, i did not hear not an single warning since i play BS on FC2 serrvers and later one tester confirm to me that something is broken on FC2.0 host - ka50 client relations.

Anyway, before patch every tank(only T-55 not, very old peace of iron:)) and every vehicle with ATGM,avengers, gepards, ect used to alarm LWR...

P.S.iI was thinking about something, EOS from russians birds have laser range finder too.Does ka-50 LWR have capability do detect that type of laser ilumination , in RL i mean, i all ready know that something like that is not simulated in DCS.

In theory yes, similar type of laser energy.

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Soon Panzertard will update his AWESOME Server Monitor script to work with DCS. Then the 104th will host with DCS instead of FC2 and the no LWR bug will be gone.

Sounds great!

So, i gues that feature will be added in next update?

Maybe Abraamses give LWR signal ?

No, last night i was attacking Abraams (104th server) with AP rounds and LWR was spooky silent...

I flew today on the STP Server and I received plenty of LaserWarnings from Tanks (T80u)

Problem has already been determined to be FC2 hosting the mission. STP is probably using DCS to host.

I don't think this is the case. I flew on Digi's server all weekend and he is hosting with FC2. LWR was working fine, it must be the 104th's server or mission is bugged.

Alright, after some testing I can confirm that using the exact same mission hosted in...

DCS: LWR warning given when lased by an enemy ground unit

FC2: No LWR warning given when lased by an enemy ground unit

It is not the 104th server or the mission. It is a bug. Again, after Panzertard kindly upgrades Server Monitor to support DCS, we will use DCS to host because of this bug. Thanks

Took the Ka-50 for a ride tonight but did not get any LWR from tanks so I assume you haven't been able to switch yet?

BTW, liked the new (for me) mission with some moving groundtargets, just wished they continued to move even after attacking the first few...

Update. Panzertard was nice enough to update his Server Monitor for DCS, but we discovered that hosting with DCS introduces some bugs to the RWR in FC2 jets. Certain SAMs will not show type and may lock you beyond normal ranges it seems. Not thoroughly tested, but we just decided to host with DCS for now.
