You're going to find all you need to know in the link below : https://www.wikihow.com/Change-Mouse-Polling-Rate **If your mouse has no software, no problem, in the link you'll find one universal software, I installed, super easy, works! I've underclocked my mouse, 1000hz to 500hz (HZ IS NOT DPI). **You may still experience some fps drop and stutter for many other reasons.

Unfortunately the latest update has brought back some similar problems as the original 2.9 update did for me. I only seem to get lag in when I am CPU bound, so I thought I would turn down all system settings that mention CPU usage, the result was I was even more CPU bound? So I upped all the sliders you can while in game, clutter/grass, forest visibility etc, and straight away became GPU bound most of the time and much smoother gameplay. I have seen this stressing the graphics card "fix" when I was looking for a solution to the lag that 2.9 introduced for me. So what what settings affect GPU more than CPU?

Please note this scales over a month period so far! Hi all, so I came to play after a few weeks off due to health and my game was lagging bad every few mins I went through a lot of trouble shooting trying to find it, and saw a few posts on here about core parking power setups and a few others, i even spent time looking through the log and couldnt see any issues but ignored one i found about my printer (yes in the dcs log) i found as i didn't think that would or even could cause it. At the same time i decided to format the pc for ease of having a nice clean pc again. a week later after intense playing after the reformat i was clear no lags no issues at all, but yesterday i installed my HP smart app and printer and it happened again, i went into the log and saw this (please not this is from this morning but it was this warning just different time) 2024-07-16 10:12:08.738 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] HPBB962C.cable.virginm.net (HP ENVY 6000 series) 2024-07-16 10:12:09.083 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED 2024-07-16 10:12:09.085 INFO APP (Main): Device unplugged: [SWD] HPBB962C.cable.virginm.net (HP ENVY 6000 series) 2024-07-16 10:12:09.612 WARNING LOG (23676): 1 duplicate message(s) skipped. 2024-07-16 10:12:09.612 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] HPBB962C.cable.virginm.net (HP ENVY 6000 series) 2024-07-16 10:12:09.963 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED 2024-07-16 10:12:09.965 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] HPBB962C.cable.virginm.net (HP ENVY 6000 series) 2024-07-16 10:12:10.305 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED 2024-07-16 10:12:10.307 INFO APP (Main): Device plugged: [SWD] HPBB962C.cable.virginm.net (HP ENVY 6000 series) 2024-07-16 10:12:10.643 WARNING WORLD (Main): ModelTimeQuantizer: ANTIFREEZE ENABLED 2024-07-16 10:12:17.050 INFO Dispatcher (Main): Stop this is the bit i ignored the first time so i decided to test it by uninstalling my printer device and it worked fine, rest of the night and this morning. So better safe than sorry i reinstalled my printer and the lagging started again! so i decided to uninstalled again and copy the error from the log which i've posted above. and since uninstalling i've had no issue what so ever, so any one have any clues why my printer is causing this and how i can fix it please, as kinda need my printer to thanks

All up to date with updates on headset and DCS. In the previous DCS releases (before the Quest 3 break from Oculus) I randomly experienced a laggy and very blocky right eye. Hard rebooting the headset did nothing; only quitting and restarting DCS fixed the issue. Now, today, I've had it happen twice. Could this please get investigated? I'm happy to help in any way, but it **is** intermittent - no idea what is causing it. It's happened in multiple aircraft, on multiple servers...

Hi All, I have been playing DCS now since the start of 2024 and have subsequently brought a HOTAS and lots of DLCs so it is fair to say I am enjoying DCS. However in the last week or 2 I have been getting random FPS locks between 10 and 35 FPS it seems to be when I change view and it somehow gets stuck I will be running DCS normally on the Caucuses with an FPS of between 60 and 120 depending on aircraft in the vicinity. I will then have a look at the map or go external view and come back and it seems to be stuck on a FPS like 20 FPS and will bounce around 20 FPS sometimes I can go on the map and zoom in or out and change back and it fixes it, other times I can ALT + TAB and that fixes the problem other times I cannot seem to get back to normal FPS. I have tried doing a fresh install of DCS and increasing my virtual RAM on the c drive, I do not think it is a memory issue as when running DCS I seem to be on about 25GB of 32GB. This happens on all maps and all aircraft. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello kind pilots, here is my probelm... So I will write down all of my components right here: CPU ---> Intel Core I7 8700K 3.70 GHz (https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&hvadid=77790517240465&hvbmt=bb&hvdev=c&hvqmt=b&keywords=core+i7+9700k&qid=1623684884&sr=8-4) GPU ---> GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/support/GeForce-GTX-1080-GAMING-X-8G.html) RAM---> HyperX Fury 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 2133MHz DRAM (https://www.newegg.com/hyperx-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820104674?Description=16gb ram hyperx&cm_re=16gb_ram hyperx-_-20-104-674-_-Product) Motherboard ---> MSI Z370 A PRO (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z370-A-PRO) Tell me if you want the rest of it but I think it's what you have to know. So here is my problem, I began to play dcs some time ago and didn't really have problems with anything, it was all running great at high settings but as the updates went to come I incountered this issue... I am lagging a lot and what I mean by lagging is a frozen screen for multiple secconds, sometimes long enough to make me crash my plane while I can't do anything... It is very annoying and happens mainly when I'm close to other players. So I don't know if it's a computer hardware problem. I lowered my settings, but it still lags, and the game runs just fine in solo with even higher settings. Is it maybe my RAM ? I have 16go and I saw that the recommended config was with 16go ram (they are maybe talking about playing in solo, right ?). When I checked the benchmarks while playing I didn't get much higher than 14go so I don't know... If the RAM wasn't the problem then I thought: maybe my connection is. I did mulltiple speedtests and always got similar results which are 45 Mbps in download and 20Mbps in upload. Are these numbers too low(maybe the upload in particular). I don't know what I can do more, maybe I should reinstall DCS ? I also checked if it was running in all of the logical processors but it already was, so no problem there... I'll try to lower my settings even more than what it is now but I find it weird that with this config it has that much of a problem running it in multiplayer but again maybe it's not my config, (it runs perfectly in solo with heavy missions)... Thank you for hellping me out...

I have a great computer with a 3070 RTX w/HP Reverb G2.. Internet is Fiber Optic and crazy fast. Here’s my problem and my question. When I play on a massive server like Growling Sidewinder, after I crash or whatever and respawn, it’s super choppy and laggy. So much so the only fix is to completely close out of DCS and restart it. I play in VR. My buddy has the same setup as I do with an Oculus VR. He has the same problem. Is this common? Does anyone else ever experience this? Is there any solution? please help if you can!! Thanks!

Good morning, i fly in VR with a decent fps level, but face an issue when accessing to the esc menu. Once on the binding change menu, the screen stutters badly, to the point that the computer even sometimes freezes. Any experience / advice on this? using a G2 on a custom laptop, rtx3800, i7 10th gen, steam overlay but standard dcs. thanks

Hello! I got back to Supercarrier with Tomcat and Hornet after a time. I made a more or less empty training mission (just airplane and the carrier). Just before I catch a wire - lets say 10ft above the deck the whole sim freezes for a few seconds... this is highly annoying and destroys every landing. I have zero stutters, lags or other performance problems in every other thinkable situation in DCS. I have zero lag when landing on an airbase in an crowded city, but out on the sea with just the airplane and the carrier it lags at the worst moment possible. This is no performance problem, this has to do with the Supercarrier module. What can I do about this? Thank you.- 10 replies

Hi all I am experiencing lags that makes DCS unplayable. I went through the forum however found no solution. I have pretty decent PC for DCS I9 12900K; RTX3080; 32GB DDR5; DCS installed on SSD My FPS are stable locked on 80Hz. I tried it with VR and without VR. Every test run was the same resulting stable FPS but lag spikes. I don´t know how to describe these lags. I monitored harware usage via task manager and I found pretty obvious fact. Utilisation of GPU is dropping from like 80% to 40% avery few seconds and thats right when the lag in game occurs. (posting pictures from two sigleplayer test flights in F14 on caucaus) I would like to hear you experience playing DCS nowdays. To point out I had the same issue with 2.7 version. Few steps I did: All drivers are up to date (bios, gpu, cpu etc...) Tried every single settings in DCS Hot plugs disabled running full screen with fullscreen optimalistaon turned off. Fxo metashaders didn´t help either. Even complete reinstall of DCS DCS OPEN BETA running on Windows 11

Since the latest open beta I have very much lag with the mouse in menus and mission editor. It is not constantly lagging, more like few seconds laggy and than normal for some seconds. The game itself runs without lag. I use MT in single player with F15E installed. My mouse is an Alienware 610M wireless, which runs without problems in other games and also before the last update everything worked fine.

Hi All, I recently updated DCS to latest version and since then I am experiencing stutters/lags in performance which really ruins the experience for me. I am not sure what has changed in latest update, however before the update everything was running smoothly on my current settings (High). All of NVidia drivers are up to date and DCS is installed on SSD. As I said before the update everything was running fine with no lags or stutters. I am on open beta version Anyone experiencing similar issues? dcs.log

My game Stuttering every 20ish seconds, and when launching missiles and explodes, in 2.8 it never happened like this. I have i7-10700 ,32GB RAM,NVIDIA 3070 8GVRAM, game on SSD. Loving DCS hope this can be heal soon. @Flappie Thank you and Hi Flappie, saw you been tracking some similar issues, hope this won't bother you. Performance monitor like: Screenshot\log\track attached. HEAVY STUTTER.trk dcs.log dcs_frame.log The performance had a big issue at the end of the Trk. If the AI play their things correctly. I got shot down by the end and all the explosions and cracking~ I can see dozens of peaks on the FPS monitor window, even when I'm Over G blacked out.
