I got my first VR headset (Reverb G2) this weekend and I'm honestly blown away. I was expecting to get a slide show with my mediocre machine but It's very nice and smooth and I don't see myself going back to a 2D monitor again. There are a few problems though and one of them is the audio. The built in speakers a good and comfy but due to the distance from the ear, and the fact nothing is blocking ambient sound, alot of the game's audio is lost or too faint. As an example; I can no longer hear the APU coming online in the Hornet. How do you guys deal with this problem? I have tried wearing my usual headset over the Reverb but that's doesn't work. Is there some sort of addon you can get to "isolate" you from the ambience of your environment and get immersed in the virtual sound space, like with a normal headset?

Hello all, i recently bought the F16 Module and for some reason, my general performance in it is worse than in other aircraft. Ive included screenshots of the FPSVR Dashboard for both the F16s and the Hornets Free Flight Scenario. As you can see the Frames for the Hornet are much more stable when compared to the F16, which struggles to maintain a steady framerate and drops a lot of frames. I have not changed settings in between Screenshots. Here are my Specs: I7 8700k RTX 3070TI 32 GB of DDR4 @3200 MHZ DCS is installed and run from my m.2 ssd I am playing DCS using my VR Headset (Reverb G2) Anybody here have some pointers to why this might be? Right now its kinda unplayable Thanks!

Hello everyone, like the title says, whenever i try loading into a mission, using my Reverb G2 VR Headset, the game crashes and i am thrown back to the SteamVR Home screen. I can however run the game just fine without VR. Kind of weird as i was able to get the game running a couple months back. Ive tried many things (reinstalling DCS, Steam VR, Windows Mixed Reality, etc.) but nothing seems to work for me. The game always crashes when i try to load into a mission. I also tried updating my Graphicscard drivers and made sure that Windows is up2date. Here are my Specs: Intel 8700K GTX 3070TI 16 Gigs of Ram Game is installed and run from m.2 SSD I have also attached the logs from the latest crash. I would be really thankful for any pointers! Really want to get back into the game Thanks! Mo dcs.20220316-203624.crash dcs.log

Hi everyone, like the title says im having problems with the F16C module. 90% off the time i try to load a mission the game crashes on me. I already tried repairing DCS, did not work for me. Maybe its also worth to note that i do not have any problems to load missions for the SU25T, wether it be single or multiplayer. Here are my Specs: HP Reverb G2 Intel 8700K RTX 3070TI 16 Gigs of Ram Game is installed and run from m.2 SSD Ive also attached the logs of the latest crash. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated, thanks! dcs.log dcs.20220321-231551.crash

Good morning all. I've been loaned a Reverb G2 and after playing around with the settings both with the headset and the PC I've now lost the ability to move my head closer to the MFDs. As I move my head closer to any of part of the cockpit it maintains the original distance away from me. Any ideas what has caused this? TIA

Hey, I've recently got a new machine and using my existing headset (reverb G2) I've been hitting a really frustrating issue with VR display stutters uncontrollably. The game will often run perfectly fine with a good solid FPS, everything working normally and then *something* will happen and the VR view will stutter uncontrollably around the head position. I can still play (in a way) as the stutter seems to be around my current head position. Its as if the game gets stuck in a loop trying to find my head position and causes it to act erratically. I've also noticed that the Steam VR button on my controller no longer works once my game gets in this state. The ingame FPS shows no change and my mirrored monitor showing the game normally. Once the session has ended the stutter goes away and everything is back to normal. The *something* I've not been able to isolate. Sometimes it happens after a certain amount of time (10 mins or more) sometimes its when something happens in game (ie, in the AH64, when I get a rotor warning) or when I use the F10 map. It happened in both single player & multiplayer but is never consistent, sometimes I can play entire sessions (1hr +) without any issue and other times it can occur right away and derail my entire session. I've tried the usual suspects, HAGs, changing OpenXR runtime (from WMR to steam & back again), got updates, overclocked, not over clocked, lower graphics settings, higher graphics settings but nothing seems to have resolved it 100% as I can never be sure if or when it occurs. Any ideas? Specs: Intel Core i9 12900KF GeForce RTX 3080 OC 32GB RAM DDR4 3200MHz M2 SSD Windows 11 HP Reverb G2

Hello everyone, I encounter some problem and it's very irritating in game, i can't use knob anymore when i use my hp motion controller to use knob they are automaticly turning full to the right (and don't react to stick up/down/left). If i go in external camera mode, the camera turn around the plane like we use stick. Both left and right controller got the same issue. I encounter this problem only when using Open Composite, it work perfectly with Steam VR, openXR WMR but with lower FPS. (It work perfectly too with occulus quest 2 and the occulus runtime) Anyone can have an idea to fix this issue ? open composite configuration ? DCS mapping configuration ? Fly safe

I'm using the new MT DCS with the latest patch today. It appears that the G-Loc modeling has changed for MT users where the center of blackout floats around and is perhaps modeled in relation to the game world rather than the jet or as it was previously locked to the player viewport. So I can look around and there could be 2 clear spots opposite of each other in direction. Sometimes the clear spot is just towards the ground. It doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. The expected behavior is that the center of the blackout is centered on the viewport, but this is no longer the case. I know this bug affects both Reverb G2 and PiMAX 8KX users as well as 2D screens.

So im having some troubles getting dcs to open in vr mode. It will open in desktop just fine. The link below is the clossest issues I've been able to find to mine just to give an idea what I've been dealing with. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/328037-solved-open-beta-not-starting-in-openxr-when-ultraleap-gemini-software-is-installed-with-openxr-support-enabled/#comment-5238289 Attached my dcs log file for you to check out. Appreciate any info you can give me, and thanks for taking some time out of your day to give me a hand. dcs.log

Hi, I'd like to try DCS in VR but I had some feedback from friends telling me that some headsets that don't have a very good pixel density make it difficult to read what's on the MFDs etc. Is it the case with the Reverb G2 ? (I'm thinking of getting this one) Also, still about the Reverb G2, does it give you the horse blinders effect or is the fov wide enough ? And finally, using a G2 with a 3080Ti, flying above Syria with all settings cranked up to the max, not CPU bottlenecked or out of RAM so the GPU can use its full power, how many fps can I realistically expect in average? Finally, what's the compatibility of it and DCS ? Is it quite plug and play or does it need another software to fine tune a ton of settings (like a TrackIR) ? Thanks!

Hi all, I have been trying to adjust my settings on DCS to get better performance but I have not been successful Problem is: 1) Everything moving around me is blury and has double vision 2) My cockpit shakes (no extreme shake but more vibration) with slight head movement (even talking) >>> This happens when I get FPS around 50 low on the deck <<<< >>> It goes away when I make pixel density 0.5 basically worst graphics <<< System: Graphics: Geforce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card CPU: Ryzen 9 - 5950X RAM: 32G Windos 11 Hard: SSD 1TB
