We are setting the waypoints as usual in the ME, but once the mission runs on op night, when someone joins a dynamic spawn slot, these do not show up in the kneeboard and are not programmed in at all. I am confused why there is no chatter about this. Are we doing something wrong?

Hi everyone, In the absolutely stellar update for the Viggen, a fairly major issue has unfortunately been introduced. Regardless of whether you're starting cold, hot or airborne, waypoints cannot be selected using B1-B9 keys, only LS, L1, L2 and Bx points (including undefined Bx points - not sure if that's right) can be selected (using mission editor defined waypoints). In the air however, B1 gets automatically selected, however, pressing B1-B9 results in LS being selected, at which point only the aforementioned points can be selected. I have a hunch this might be related to this issue, that has also appeared this update. Hello ladies and gentlemen, While I'm awaiting my recently purchased H.O.T.A.S. to being delivered I've made a few testflights with mouse and keyboard, just for fun. The trainingsmissions for the SU-33 to be exact. While taking off and arming my plane are all swell. (Mind you, I have not yet actually fired weapons except the guns), landingprocedures are still a "work in progress" to say the least. During my test flights I have stumbled upon some things that made me wonder what happened and why it is what just happened. And I am hoping some of you might have the answers to my questions that are as follows. 1. On occasion I get a black screen from within the cockpit. When I press the outside view of the plane with F2 it's fine but from within I only see blackness. Does this have anything to do with my as a pilot blacking out or is it a hardware issue I need to fix? Unfortunately I don't have any more feeback on this so this is the only info I have for now. 2. On one occasion my wings blew off the plane. I don't remember exactly what I did but it was at high speed and then just all of a sudden my wings fell off the plane. What is this and how do I prevent this? 3. I noticed the autopilot and that you can order the system to follow a route towards a waypoint. I know how to open the map with F10, but I have no idea on how to actually set a waypoint. How does one do that while in flight? (Or do you have to do this before taking off?) 4. On one occasion I was in a trainingserver on multiplayer. Keeping to myself. (Only flying around, no fighting etc.) I browsed through my controls options but I couldn't find any button/binds for radio contact or a chat. How do you activate a chat/radio comms if at all possible? I did notice that with "\" I could insert simple commands and the likes of that, but that is not what I mean to find with this question. I hope you guys can help me with these questions and I look forward to your answers! Have a nice day! Kind regards! Tycor

My squadron is going to do a Hornet navigation training session covering navigation. Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome, and the training will start from zero for those new to the jet. There will be a training mission included for some practical exercise, and the jets will be hot started. This will be the initial training session, and future training events will involve different weapons systems, different aircraft. It is recommended that you have a notebook/ pen to write down waypoints and take notes. Basics of using navigation in the Hornet. Setting and navigation to waypoints, creating mark points, lat / long/ and input of MGRS and precise coordinates. TACAN navigation, ADF navigation, and use of navigation points for weapons targeting. Here is a general invite to the AIN discord server: https://discord.gg/JuBydbsfDn Here is an invite to the event. https://discord.gg/rGptn5nWbM?event=996220721875402832 NOTE: I'm not a discord genius, if you can't access something on the discord server as it sometimes does weird things, just send me a message on discord (DSCROSS [AIN-1]) and I'll sort it for you. Best if you show up early in the discord so I can make sure you have a role before the training starts. You can send me a message on Discord or these forums if you have any questions.

This makes it very difficult and unnecessarily challenging when using AI units for PLAYERS to FOLLOW in close formation. Some option for specifying the MAX RATE of the turns at waypoints AND MAX FPM for change in altitude at waypoints would massively alleviate this problem. So too for change of speed, although this is less of an issue with good formation flying techniques. Thanks

Hi everyone, At the moment, upon reaching the cargo transporation waypoint, the AI navigates to the cargo and then flies directly to the trigger zone that defines the drop point. This however reduces flexibility, flying direct is all well and good, but it means I don't have much control over what route the AI follows, nor the speed or altitude - I can't for instance utilise terrain masking or have aircraft go around threats instead of just going in a straight line. Ideally, what I'm after is something like the embarking/disembarking tasks - how that works is the helicopter flies its route until reaching the waypoint with the embarking task, whereby it'll navigate to the ground unit group to be embarked, it then follows the route as set by the mission editor until reaching the disembarking task, which specifies where the helicopter should land to disembark the ground units. Following the same principle, have a task which has the helicopter pick up the cargo and a task to drop the cargo which allows you to specify exactly where.

In a mission, take an airbase and allow dynamic spawns create a dynamic spawn template (I tested all helos I own) and assign it to some aircraft in the Resource Manager A/C list fly the mission and spawn into one of these aircraft view the F10 map You will notice that the flight plan does not display in F10. Aircraft do indeed have the flight plan (easily seen in the TSD of the Apache for example).

I was using someone else's mission to test how MK-20's work and when I moved the start location, I saw double waypoints. So, I created my own mission on the same map, Persian Gulf. I was flying around trying to target the waypoints and it kept showing off the target. So, I quit out and looked at the ME and the screen shot kind of is self-explanatory. I closed and reopened the mission in ME and they were gone closer to the original waypoint. So close I could not see them until I zoomed in. Once I delete all the static objects, dual waypoints still existed. I close the ME and saved it, then reopened and the waypoints were all gone. Mk20_Rockeyes_Test.miz

Dear Eagle Dynamics, I would like you to add the feature to add / set waypoints on the F10 map. This feature already exist and works, with Combine Arms. If you set path (waypoints) to your own plane, after restarting NAV mode, waypoints will refreshed and display the new waypoints. Please ED allow us in multiplayer to add waypoints on F10 map. Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Null.

Hello fellow Pilots! As @AlphaJuliet wrote in one of his Threads there has been a known Bug - Am I the only one not beeing able to edit existing waypoints or create new ones by LAT / LONG coordinates? My standard procedure (not working anymore): - EHSD-->DATA page - WYPT active - choose waypoint or create new one - edit POS by entering LAT/LONG (same way as in INS alignment) - press ENT - same for ELEV - (check setting again) - exit Data page To be honest, I have not been sitting in the Harrier for a few months. Is there a new procedure now? But the entered coordinates do not save anymore. Therefore I cannot fly my CAS... On Reddit you can read a lot of postings that this bug has still not been fixed: Tried a few solutions such as creating a MK1 or creating new TOO first and editing coordinates afterwards. --> Nothing seems to work for me! Your help will be apprecaited Thanks & best regards, LonestarR

As title says. If a moving object (aircraft, carrier/ship, vehicle) has a set of waypoints for it's route, and you select that unit on the F10 map you are able to see them in yellow dashed lines connected by the waypoints, represented by circles with the waypoint number to the right of them. If you have previously selected the object and seen those waypoints, when those waypoints change (via a scripting or mission editor event 'setTask') the new waypoints are NOT DISPLAYED and the old, now irrelevant waypoints remain. This happens even if you resetTask() or popTask() and the either pushTask(newTask) or setTask(newTask). The F10 map never changes the waypoints visible for the object/unit from those very first ones.
