As others have said here....ED you have got yourself another customer. Right now your video is on my IPOD video. :D ..I love the music also. Next time...please release videos as a mpeg4 format as well...;)..its hard converting wmv files to IN-sync files for ipod. :D

That is 1 concern about the dust I didnt think of.

 

It will always be there, since we will all be flying low most the time. Yet dust shouldnt always be there, only over dusty terrain.

Grabbed the small file 'cause my dialup DL speed is glacial, but I've got to go back & get the larger file later tonight to see it in all its glory...

Nice sensation of flying in parts of the demo & shows off the 6DOF (Trying to get a peek of the MFDs functioning). - dust could be a bit thinner & more spread out though (& not coming out of the road/concrete).

Realy looking forward to the release.

Some information from Russian part of the forum:

First of all, the dust: Yes, yes and yes dust effect, sound and shadows (to be precise - their absence) are generic/in development :-) If I understand correctly all of this is on the way to be fixed.

Here is my IMO: The piloting was pretty well done! I suggest comparing how helicopters fly during air show :-) I don't know how well/realistic the controls are in the game, but my experience on military simulator was much-much worse.

I think the guy was wondering why the pilot was harassing the convoy so obsessively, not commenting on the quality of his flying! The flight dynamics look great though.

 

Re the dust, it just needs to be a little wider and more diffuse (and only over appropriate surfaces), otherwise like somebody said, enemy aircraft are just going to be drooling when they see all the little dust trails advancing on their ground forces!

 

I can't understand the lyrics of that music - is that the Russian equivalent of country and western or something?!

I agree. It looked like someone having fun with the flight model rather than trying text-book manoeuvres.

 

As for the dust, I'd be happy with it as it is. Making it too realistic could make hovering a nightmare. Frame rates would suffer, and when flying a helicopter that's the last thing you need.

Yes looks like the Track IR will be a must have for this SIM.

 

Also the effects will be sooo... important !

 

We are going to be looking at everything so much closer.

 

I don't think ED could have picked a more difficult AC to SIM.

I noticed something... the shadow of the rotors isn't there... probably because they're not polygons when they spin. Still looks a bit off though.

 

And the trucks looked and behaved great too :D

The real Black Shark has a pre-production status and got some new take-off/landing maneuver during test flights. Testpilots probed a new, just-imagined methods, such as "tail forward" take-off or "side-sliding" landing for example.

Some of this non-standart maneuvers has a chance to be added to the textbook late.

 

BTW. this flight is a "creativity air-hooliganism" anymore :-)

Nah i don't think so .. that was the standart Choppersound .. maybe used temporary for this vid..

 

When you hear the sound of the SU25T or the whole other aircrafts you will notice ED would give many work for an accurate sound in this Sim..

 

Ok some KI planes and helos didn't sound very well but nobody is perfect ;)

It's young Russian almost unknown music group “Путь на двоих” (“Way for Two” in English).

Song name is «Стоп кран» (“Emergency brake”). Very nice composition. :)

They have not site and recorded albums, only pair of song on the shared musical portal.
