Please send some to Ireland.. I'm craving for some.. Didn't eat them in 2 years :(

But yes. This game is amazing. Had years of fun with it. And still have.

Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.

Thanks for the plug! =)

I'll be wrapping up the final tutorials as soon as I have a bit of free time, but these should get anyone going pretty well. :pilotfly:

The videos have been a tremendous help... many thanks, really looking forward to your next instalment!

Maybe in the future we may also meet my neighbour on this forum: he is a real pilot (not so long agoo retired); flew with numerous aircraft: latest as a 767 captain.

But the most he is interested in militairy aircraft: was until 1974 a F104 flyer / instructor.

For me he is allready a "flightsim information well"

Showed him this afternoon the "DCS World" and it got his approval

Until now he is still an "Allied Force" flyer (quite interesting that a person of the real flying world is also interested in the flightsimulation) but I hope that the DCS demonstration will turn him into DCS.

With for me the advantage that I can surge further flying information (in that case: also DCS) out of him .....

I certainly will come; hope my neighbour comes with me; my wife .............. ehh: I doubt it :no_sad:

About DCS: I get a little, little bit familiar with her (A-10C): what I said: it's really fantastic.

In the meantime flown about 100 hours (training and mission flying) as indicated at STEAM.

Earned lots of medalls and had my first promotion :smartass:

Most of the time until now with the A-10C: all goes pretty well: starting, flying, navigating, landing, combatting a.s.o.; only my wingman doesn't allways do what I'am expecting him to do ................: must still find some things out here!!

Like more of you (probably), the first time I do now every morning is seeing if there is news on the "ED front" because news at ED is really news: is there some news about EDGE, the F15C, F18, Hawk, MIG, F86 etc.

Of the other flightsim (fsx) I have about everything there is and news is not that much news for me anymore (ok: a little bit now offcourse with LM) but, what I said: news of ED is something different!!

Last weekend had some nice demonstrations at "Lowland Tiger Meets": thanks Wasserfall, Beerhunter, Joe_Curr and Liger_Zero for the demonstrations of night flying with "air refuelling" with "carrier recovery" and "formation flying": very nice to see that all

@ Wasserfall: the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog is indeed a "must have" for me for the future.

@ Beerhunter: yes, first time flying with a "force joystick" and the Track IR needs to get accustomed to.

Again: thanks guy's!!

Best regards, Willem

Hello Willem,

Nice to have some feedback from the LLTM:)

Apparently you liked it, because you visited us al 3 days!, that's the spirit!

Despite the few numbers of participants the weekend was great, no combat missions as in previous LLTM

events, but scaring the deck crew on the Kuznetsov with our landing attempts, and the tanker crew wiht inflight refueling. We did some nice formation flying on the last day, and before you know it the weekend is history.

We did meet some very nice people, and had very nice conversations.

So all in all it was a weekend with a total of 30 participants (all sections).

Hopefully next year a LLTM with more attendees .

Cheers,

Wasserfall

Yes Henri: someone like me (with about 1 month DCS experience) must certainly not let pass by the chance to learn a bit of someone with 10 years DCS experience

Indeed there were more BMS users but .......................................

a lot of them are waiting for a "DCS fast mover" with AFM and a clickable cockpit like the F15 / F18 or even better for them (because of their hardware built cockpits) a F16.

Well, who knows what DCS (and third party developers) are brewing just now........................ :chef:

Hello all,

I'am new in DCS World and just have bought A-10C, P-51D and the Black Shark2; since a day experimenting with these: start up procedures, basic flights, basic weapons handling etc. and I must say:

DCS World is in one word: fantastic!!

Until now, I am a FSX flyer and I have combat flyed in the long distant history (about beginning with F16 combat pilot of DI).

I like DCS World because of:

- "real" simulation of the aircraft,

- offcourse the possibility to "play" wargames,

- installing with STEAM: no problems with compability, updates, drivers etc. (as far as I know),

- possibility to do more with the militairy aircraft as what is possible in FSX,

- super graphics and very detailed aircraft presentation,

- very fast (my system is 4,5 years with an (updated) AMD 6990),

- 64 bit: build for the future.

I surely hope, that also third party developers will adopt DCS World: maybe, you can even make a (partly) civilian flightsim out of it.

Wonder, why LM did not use DCS World for developing .............

Best Regards,

Willem

I would love to see a civilian side to the series as well as I don't play war games, well very seldom !!

Just to add to this thread, I agree...ED you have outdone yourself with DCS WORLD 1.2.8. Even in beta its fantastic. Great job with the new cockpits, the fantastic new TF-51D...a blast to fly....and most of all the PFM for F-15C. OMG its amazing. All I literally now do is just make a custom landing mission and just land the plane... and try to see how fast/how hard I can approach. I then change the aircraft to the Su25/25T and see how much easier it is.

But yeah...can't wait for the Su27 AFM. But if this is a sign of things to come.... just fantastic work. You guys are truly the best at making flight simulators. The attention to everything is top notch. It has taken a long while to get here....back from when I started with flanker 2.0. Been here with every iteration...but I think the flanker AFM will be a fantastic homage to your roots. :)

Not everyone is into wargames. Thats why there are so many Virtual aerobatic teams. And there is now a TF-51 in DCS a civilian p-51
