With a solid 3:0 lead, both team's defenses would have deserved a lot of praise. But since no one scored a goal, what the heck were they all doing there?

Well, I think the final will be a lot better. :)

I don't think so. Remember the last time that happened in 1990. A disgrace.

No, this is a disgrace and I'm talking about what Materazzi said.

I hated that he went out like that in his final world cup.

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

A new hope!!

Is this the FIFA 2014++(The no penalty shootout cup)? Where the Netherlands is still busy with Costa Rica. And Argentinia waiting at the kick-off?

Man, I actually missed the match for third place. Dunno how that happened. :( But I watched a review, and it seems that the Brazilians weren'T able to improve their tactics.

Whatever. The important match is today! North Korea... ehhh... Argentina against Germany! :)

Deutschlaaaaaand!!! (yes, I am biased. Sorry.)

I wish I had. :music_whistling:

Brazil played so badly, there were facepalm moments every couple of seconds. They got kind of lucky they didn't lose as high as in the previous game.

Then again, the German team was in a pretty desolate state before the 2006 home WC. It didn't take Klinsmann all that long to assemble a totally new team, and his spirit is still active in Löw and the players. I'm sure Brazil will also manage to get back on their feet.

This soft penalty thing is a real gamechanger.

You can bite, bodycheck, kick in the back, trample upon and punch with the elbow, as long as you don't disturb an attacker on the run down the field.

It weakens tactical strong teams, promotes hardness and it costs the players health. I sure hope this will change with the next tournaments...

Congratulations to Germany. But I believe Schwinsteiger was not playing good.
