I would probably go ahead with a purchase on this one and select something like the P47 for a reward if its going to be awhile.

I would be inclined to agree except that there are backers whose reward tier includes all of the flyables. I can reverse the plan and get the Dora for the $10 discount now though if it's going to be a wait... others might have similar schemes in their heads...

I backed for $40 so I get 2 choices under the new program. To be honest I don't intend to buy all of the planes now and really don't have a lot of extra money at the moment. I was going to select the Fw190 and Bf109 as rewards but if we're going to be waiting weeks or whatever till they set it up I'd just like to know.

That backer rewards section was hosted on ED's website already in March, can't think of any reasons why the (reduced) rewards should not become available in August. MAC I am sure if it was simple it would have been done already. There are always going to be little hiccups... I can only imagine the shape all this data is in, accounting for people who already received keys, etc... Honestly, if RRG was still intact, there was probably a good chance people would have had to wait for the 190 keys anyways.... least the way things seemed to have been run by RRG. Does it matter? ;) Well I guess that the rewards program is on hold until EDGE is there. Most things are. Btw, the same thing is happening for the backers of "Broken Sword 5". The game is already completely released for all systems but the backers still don't have access to the complete Android version unless they buy it from the Google Play Store. Being patient is just another way of supporting the developers we already opted to support by backing them on Kickstarter, I guess.

I'm still on the fence about pre-purchasing it, however i can always use the extra reward and select different modules to give friends at a later date.

I'm not going to buy it as i have already paid for the kickstarter and i was not supposed to pay again for any other DCS:WWII aircraft. I'm quite a bit frustrated because i own almost every DCS modules for wich i paid for but i feel like ED is not happy to grant us the access for one of the plane of the project we backed. ED must remember they don't give away Dora but we bought it. I'm not happy with the idea that i'm going to fly the aircraft after people who paid for it 10 month after me...

That's basically what I was thinking. I'd also use the backer bonus for something else and buy the Dora now that it is still ten bucks cheaper. I'll simply use the dora reward as a xmas or bday gift for a friend.
