Roadhog Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I don't seem to have any engine start up sounds. Also, the engine sounds seem very quiet.

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 26, 2014 ED Team Posted July 26, 2014 Just had a look, and I could not see anything obvious. It seems like it doesn't play any of the start up sounds at all. I played them in a media player and I don't hear any of that in game.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 26, 2014 ED Team Posted July 26, 2014 Yes my sounds seem fine in my 1.2.9 builds, levels normal, are your other aircraft sounding ok? Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 27, 2014 ED Team Posted July 27, 2014 It is worth noting comparing the sounds in the video which was recorded in DCS World 2.0.0 does seem to be different to 1.2.9. Lawlcat Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Seconding this. When I first started using the Sabre I wasnt even sure my engine was on with the cockpit closed. Cockpit open sounds alright, but closed nothing. Every other airplane sounds fine. Using 1.2.9 stand alone
bigalsunit Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Same thing here. I have listened to the "J47StartIn" and "StarterLoopIn" .wav files in the F-86 directory and those sounds are definitely not heard in game.

Sceptre Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) Go into DCS World, sounds\effects\aircrafts\engines and listen to the F-86 sounds. They sound awesome, but the ingame one sounds nothing like these epic sounds! Is this a bug or intended? Sabredog Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I think it's a bug. The sounds are definitely not played in the 1.2.9 build.
Mainstay Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Go into DCS World, sounds\effects\aircrafts\engines and listen to the F-86 sounds. They sound awesome, but the ingame one sounds nothing like these epic sounds! Is this a bug or intended? Bug it seems its just not activating for some reason. I hope Belsimtek/ED hotfixes this and push a minor update.
Tone71 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 As much as I'd like them to, I'm not sure they will for such a minor issue, seeing as the Sabre is in beta. ericoh Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 I think it's a bug. The sounds are definitely not played in the 1.2.9 build. Confirm. Just listened to the sounds, 100% not in 1.2.9. Or waaaayyyyyy to quiet. Either way somethings wrong. :helpsmilie:
