while it sounds better, it still doesnt sound anywhere near the real thing at all periods of startup and flight. Idle on the ramp still looks and sounds off. and all in all, i get the general impression that the sound work was based off of how things sounded on youtube (both Vanilla and Mods) and not how they sound in person. There is just no bass, noises are high pitched only thing that had actual research done was the Whistle, but without the sound of a actual merlin behind the sound, it mightaswell be a Gazoo.

Sounds like you're quite knowledgeable on the subject. If that's the case, I challenge you to do better!

sounds great to me and many other people in the community are enjoying my audio productions,

audios are very accurate compared to the real aircraft, many hours research went into them so I know

what am doing, but your entitled to a opinion on them.

u can stick with the defaults while the rest of us enjoy more realism of my work.

Hypothetically, if I could weasel my way into the hangar of someone with a p51, what would one need to create a sound mod? I ask because a friend of mine works for a company that has a P51 in the hangar. I have NO IDEA if I could gt access to it, or if the guy would let me record sounds from it. But it could be worth a try.

I respect your opinion but theres nothing thats even close to the quality of sounds Diveplane produces in HIS free time for the community. If you are able to get better sounds please do so  but im happy with people like Diveplane and their efforts to make the thing we love the most a bit better.

Just an FYI, my question was not so I could make a mod, more so I could send someone else the files and THEY can make a mod....lol. I am a herpaderp when it comes to modding :P

u wont get much better than what I have created. game engine is very limited in many key areas.

but over all my audios have captured the merlin growl very respectfully.

Ah Cool, I didn't know if the issues people were talking about were due to a lack of high quality recordings or just a personal preference thing :) There was no disrespect intended, as I think it is really cool what you do for free for the community, and I have a couple of your other mods and think they are awesome =)

Hi there Diveplane

I use your sound mods for the Eagle & Flanker. yesterday I installed the P-51D sound mod and i encountered an odd issue: when i fly the Flanker or the Eagle some sounds are distorted like the launch of a missile. this issue isn't related to the other two sound mods of the Eagle or the Flanker cause i removed them. all mods are installed via JSGME

after i uninstalled the P-51D sound mod the problem is solved. other then the sound mods mentioned here no other sound mods are used in mt setup

thanks for your work and hope that with my explanation here about the problem u will find which files are clashing

nothing is clashing , p-51 audios come with authentic weapon sounds as well,

internal rocket fire audio is shared with all aircraft, as its one file.

once the sabre has its own sound set added I will improve them to a more realistic standard like the other aircraft I have done.

Awesome, thanks
