Soulres Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 while it sounds better, it still doesnt sound anywhere near the real thing at all periods of startup and flight. Idle on the ramp still looks and sounds off. and all in all, i get the general impression that the sound work was based off of how things sounded on youtube (both Vanilla and Mods) and not how they sound in person. There is just no bass, noises are high pitched only thing that had actual research done was the Whistle, but without the sound of a actual merlin behind the sound, it mightaswell be a Gazoo. 1

llama Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Hypothetically, if I could weasel my way into the hangar of someone with a p51, what would one need to create a sound mod? I ask because a friend of mine works for a company that has a P51 in the hangar. I have NO IDEA if I could gt access to it, or if the guy would let me record sounds from it. But it could be worth a try. Ah Cool, I didn't know if the issues people were talking about were due to a lack of high quality recordings or just a personal preference thing :) There was no disrespect intended, as I think it is really cool what you do for free for the community, and I have a couple of your other mods and think they are awesome =) Asrock z68 Extreme4Gen3 Intel i5-2500K 8GB ram EVGA GTX 770 4GB Creative Recon3d Fatality Champion HDD's 320 GB Maxtor 7200RPM (OS and misc system files) 1 TB Hitachi 7200 RPM (games and music, storage) 64 GB Sandisk u100 SSD (Star Wars and DCS world 1.2.7) Trackir 4 Saitek X65F:joystick: Saitek X52 (Use flightstick for helo and WWII Sims, but X65 throttle) CH Pro pedals Thrustmaster MFD's Logitech X5500 Speakers Sennheiser PC360 Headphones Win 7 Home Premium (64 Bit)

Mowgli Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Hi there Diveplane I use your sound mods for the Eagle & Flanker. yesterday I installed the P-51D sound mod and i encountered an odd issue: when i fly the Flanker or the Eagle some sounds are distorted like the launch of a missile. this issue isn't related to the other two sound mods of the Eagle or the Flanker cause i removed them. all mods are installed via JSGME after i uninstalled the P-51D sound mod the problem is solved. other then the sound mods mentioned here no other sound mods are used in mt setup thanks for your work and hope that with my explanation here about the problem u will find which files are clashing [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel i5 4690K | ASUS Z-97PRO Gaming Mobo | Nvidia Gigabyte GTX970 3.5/0.5 GB Windforce3 | G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz | Samsung Evo 120GB SSD | Win10 Pro | Antec 750w 80 Bronze Modular
