I think we will do the following:

 

1. We will launch Normady+WWII pack at release day.

2. Then few days after we will be rotating Normady+WWII with Caucasus without pack mission in case there will be demand in it.

3. As Normandy with Assets pack will gain popularity I think we'll become Normandy only.

 

I do hope that Normandy will boost interest in WWII theme in DCS and the transition will be smooth.

Not yet. I hope that in next few months we'll come up with better features. Then we'll think if donations are possible. I do personally want to make sure that we can offer something a bit more consistent and stable before we ask for donations. Even if it will take some time. But thanks for asking ;)

Are labels off again for some reason, or is there a problem with the AI models? Did a couple of sorties and couldnt find/see anyone, even though I saw smoke and tracer fire.

Is this switchable with Shift-F10? I am struggling to see if this labels mod is working for me. It it was switchable then I should be able to see the difference on and off. Yes?

Yes it is switchable, and yes you can see the difference between on and off but there may be an issue with labels currently, looking at post 757

Not that regularly, this is one of the most stable servers I have flown on. :thumbup:

Yeah, labels appear not to be working. Need to find another server until this is fixed, as without them at 1080p I'm basically flying blind :(

I find it more thrilling without the labels.. you never know when you get a bandit on your 6. Lowering anisotropic filtering and AA might help with the spotting without labels..

At 1440p I am also flying blind! I hope it is sorted soon, as those labels make quite a difference to my experience. Delays my demise for a few minutes, at least!

You never know when you have a bandit on your 6, but you do know that bandit has you shot down within seconds as he had been impossible to see in advance! ;)

Changing AA or anisotropic filtering makes no difference in my experience. Might be different for others, though.

What about finding and spotting bandits so you can get on their six? How about getting on their six only to lose them after the first evasive maneuver? They simply blend into the ground or sea, and "poof" they are gone. Even when I know exactly where they are from tracer fire it is impossible for me to see them.

 

I literaly see tracer fire shooting from thin air.

 

My AA is at 0. Anisotropic filtering does nothing (tested). I think it's partly due to my monitor, which does not have a good color gamut. Unfortunately as I've invested heavily into a new business Im running with a partner I can't afford adding new hardware to solve that issue at the moment.

 

But the labels mod worked pretty well, especially at AA 0. It's not perfect but it helps a lot to keep eyes on a bandit during the merge.

 

I hope that until whatever fix ED comes up with Eekz decides to keep using the labels mod.

I know but that dot can be seen through the canopy though softly killing the element of surprise.. which is the only tactics a lonewolf can employ in '1 vs many' situations.. where I unpleasantly found myself most of the times..

Silly question, but when the target scores come up in BS, what do the colours mean? When it says 'Blue target 1 15/35', for example, does that mean the Red target 1 as shown on the map for the Blue team, or does it mean the Blue target 1 for the Red team? It is quite ambiguous and could be read both ways!

You're overthinking it :) There are 2 teams: Blue and Red and so are the targets: blue targets belonging to the blue team and red targets belonging to the red team. Don't kill your own targets!! That's it.. Have fun!

Sort your mission out. Axis flak no working and you cant land or takeoff. Get another airfield not so close!

both arguments have valid points, but until we get a definitive solution from ED, then the labels are the best of a bad situation:)

I was on the server right now and "take off assistance" seems to be on (I don't know how that works). I almost crashed on take-off when I applied rudder to the P-51D. I have not checked rudder assistance or take off assistance in my settings. It happened as well in another server, but it was not like that this afternoon.

 

Is it some kind of bug or did I do something wrong? Don't recall messing with my settings lately.

Thanks, I tested this morning and it went back to normal. Looks like the reboot restored the default. I am not sure, because I turned it off yesterday without a solution.
