Oddly, now that I DO have 1.5 installed, I don't see DoW in the Server List either.

BTW - It would be nice if we could sort the Server List by Ping (or whichever column we choose). I haven't been able to figure that one out at all. Makes for allot of scrolling and reading when all the servers are seemingly mixed willy-nilly !

Unfortunately 1.5 seems to crash quite a lot, ST and I'm not able to watch it all day...damn day job! That's probably why you couldn't see it. You can however select it as a favorite by clicking on the star to the left of the server name on the list and then it appear up top if it's online.

Thanks Merlin-27

I was hoping it wasn't just me. I do have my share of difficulties .. if not one thing it's another !

Thanks again.

Now if only I could get my Centered Seat Position and FOV to save (same prob I had with 1.2).

King of the hill mission

Thanks for putting the server up. This and ACG are the best. Please change the King of the hill mission. It is not long enough, imo. Take off, restart, take off, DCS crashes, get back in, restart.:joystick:

Someone on TS this week mentioned that there is a Mod that cleans up the cockpit glass on the Mustang.

Can someone please provide me with a Link to that Mod ?

I can't seem to find it in the User Files but then I never had much luck searching there.

Thx in Advance.

Thanks dooom

In fact I already scowered through that thread earlier today. Unfortunately there seems to be a clean glass mod for everything But the mustang.

But I sent Devrim a PM with the question with hopes he has a mod or knows where I can get one.

Thanks again doom.

Has anyone seen or heard from NetMan lately ?

I haven't seen him in a long time. He was away for a month or two a while back; showed up a couple times and then I haven't seen him again since.

I'd hate to think that unlike myself, he actually has a Real Life and/or better things to do than fly with us !!

In any case, it would be great so see him and fly with him again soon.

So if any of you are in touch with him, please pass on this message to him (i.e. that I'd like to fly with him again soon ... on any server he wishes).

Thanks y'all.

PS> Net .... MAAAANNNNN .... Where are you ? {He'll know what this means}

BTW - If ever DoW chooses to create a custom skin for him (if he becomes a DoW member), please let me know. I have a great idea for Image on his plane and already have some samples/examples to work from. I think he'd like it.

So earlier this weekend, a couple of us were on a European Server when all of a sudden some really weird stuff started happening.

I would see these vertical white spikes followed by freaking HUGE Explosions.

After 3 or 4 of these, the Airport was totally flooded (See Screenshots).

The next day I was flying the next day I shot down a plane that made a giant nuclear-looking burn spot.

Just when I was about to concede that maybe it was just 1.5 Beta ... it turns out these probably were the result of Scripting.

Look at THIS >>> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152986.

As such, I will NOT be flying on THAT Server again.

I have suspected said server OR players on that server of using Cheats in several ways. Now I am convinced of it.

PS> Regarding Last Post.

I am NOT suggesting that specific Nuke Script is the one being used.

I am merely pointing out that this type of scripting IS possible and is likely being used.

As well, I believe there is scripting that allows people to Warp as soon you get within shooting range OR just as you hit your trigger !!!!

Hi SnowTiger,

the large damage crater is a long standing issue which sometimes can be seen on a server with lots of ground units that have taken damage, and not a result of a script.

But never seen the vertical white spikes before personally.

I've seen those white spikes before, on our server when its reaching the end of its ram due to the memory leak issue, seen it a few times.

I'm certainly no expert on the matter so I have to go with what people are telling me.

But I have to say that I am still someone unconvinced just because of the way things went down.

Maybe it's just my ignorance that has me doubting.

New Livery pack

Since DCS 1.5 we have removed our custom liveries from our server. I've been working on some new liveries for the mustang that should look pretty good in DCS 1.5 and 2.0. Some of you may have downloaded this pack already but I wanted to post the link here in case there are a few interested in using it but don't frequent the user file section of DCS. these are for everyone to enjoy on our server. We haven't updated all our missing to include them yet but there are a few. I've also included the doppelganger liveries for the AN-26 and C-130 which we have used as WWII bombers. Note: this pack is not required to play on our server but if you want to use them it should make for a better experience. The pack is JSGME ready but let me know if you have any trouble downloading or installing them.

Last night, Sunday the 2nd, I had a chance to meet up with NetMan and Rush for some flying. "River Raiders" mission. (I blew the Professor's house and almost got his car on the run...... little bugger went off into some trees and disappeared. I'll get you next time you little . . . .)

Invited Rush over to our TeamSpeak and he was on in minutes. We had a ball.

NetMan once again made Ace-in-a-Day, with 6 kills. I managed 3, plus some ground targets. What stood out for me was the coordinated flying. The three of us were able to get into the middle of the same fur-ball, after approaching rather strung out. I called the lead and vectored us in from the left edge, and we kept each other in sight while maneuvering all OVER the place, in every attitude imaginable.

We "passed" the ball. We'd take turns hammering someone, only pressing the attack and getting very cozy up there on a couple occasions. The sounds of all those engine within stone's throw was spectacular.

Rush is a good pilot. Even using a hat for views - no TIR, he finds targets, and kills bad guys. Getting him on TS after the chat-windowing we've done in the past was nice. He's good to have in a fight, and he can wing with me any time.

I had to go before they did, but I'd do it again. Dogs of War has awesome missions that go way beyond AirQuake BS, and require a pilot to imitate what our fine young men did up there, way back when. Hats off to Chief and the gang for creative writing and a wide variation of flight requirements for pilots.

If any of you jet jockies reading don't do the prop thing because of a lack of navigation pressures, target mix and selection, and just plain too much arcade style BS, come over to DoW and fly with us. We're always looking for more good people to share experiences with. Soon enough, our 1.5 mission rotation will be as wide and varied as the 1.2. I think we had over 11 missions in that setup. You're welcome to fight the torque with us....

Yes they can be blown up you just have to be very precise with your ordinance. I'm not sure how well that would work as the BMPs at least are amphibious.

That's funny, HH. I called the "scientist" the professor last night when flying Raiders.

Helpful note: the resultant explosion caused by the experimental payload in his vehicle is quite.... dramatic. Whiplash witnessed both of my wings being blown off during a low gun run.
