DOGS OF WAR - Server thread

Hey guys,

This might be out of your hands if it's just a bug in the game, but the other day on the mission where Blue team is tasked with bombing a large ship docked along the coast (Op Looselips I think) I placed 2 bombs nicely on its deck and they just went straight through!

Any remedy for this?

(I can probably post the track if you want)

hmmm - i wonder if that was a brief packet loss situation? i suppose it is also possible there is a collision model issue somewhere on that model... we will have to watch to see if it is observed again.

Ya know, I think I was on that mission, too. I remember someone talking about that very thing.

I had just dropped a couple myself, and there were no explosions, splashes or any indication that anything had dropped. I was looking back after only 5 seconds or so.

Rockets that hit it on the next pass didn't seem to leave any smoke.

Hey guys, now that you mention it, I've seen the rings of a bomb water impact around that big ship in harbor where the center would have been on the deck. And the one time I actually killed it was with rockets from a broadside attack. Very interesting.

Thanks for getting my good side.

That looks like a trip to Mt. Elbrus.

Always good to fly with ya, Breeze!

EDIT: More likely escort duties in the Duck Hunt mission.

Yeah, Ultra, I think you might be right. My memory is playing games with me lately. Oh well, that scenario forces us to work harder.

Screen shots. Alt Prnt. But how do you get a strong of them to save without exiting? Or is it by taking frames from a Shadowplay vid?

A question regarding upcoming P-47 and Spitfire modules....

How soon after they are offered for sale will they be on the DoW servers?

Does each mission need to be modified to allow them, and is that a headache to accomplish?

I'd love to have "Hun Hunter VII" on the nose of my Jug. :music_whistling:

or "Bury Jerry"

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but if it is about taking multiple screenshots, well first of all, you don't need to hit "Alt + Print Screen" .. you only have to hit Print Screen .. as many times as you like.

All your screenshots are saved in a Screenshots Folder in you Saved Games/DCS/.... folder.

@HeadHunter52 > Any existing missions will have to be revised and re-saved with the new aircraft. They have to be placed in their respective Parking Locations (assuming it's a Ramp Start type mission) and they must be set to allow humans fly them.

Yup.. By the time I got back in Multiplayer, both Servers were up.. 0:00:00 on one time clock and 4 minutes and something on the other.

Thanks Whiplash \

Have a good one buddy.

PS> When you get a chance, please take a look at the PM I sent you a while back at the DoW Forums. But Note: NO EMERGENCY. I know you are very busy.

Thanks

Hello!

Do you think it's a good idea to have all AIs with the same skin?

Or something to recognize them from the human pilots in a server?

Because i don't want to dive and shoot a human in the tail of his enemy. I want to leave the guy in his 1 vs 1 fight.

But i will shoot an AI in the tail of a human.

Big thanks for the servers.

Hello Demon,

Glad to see you are still flying on the server. I enjoy your competitive spirit

We try to use different skins for the AI but sometimes they do match the client aircraft. Send me a PM with some details (which aircraft and what mission) and I can work on changing it.

Ok, very good! You know what you're doing. I have to learn which one are AI.

I learn how to survive in a Dora. I mean dive, climb, roll and don't turn.

I rarely use the mw50, i use full throttle (over 3000rpm) only when climbing.

If you see a chicken leaving the fight, it's me. But i will try to "rope-a-dope" you. :juggle:

Guys, if you donate to the cause via PayPal PLEASE provide your forum name or callsign you fly with in the note/comments section. I will not publish anyone's actual name unless asked to do so.

Aside from the aircraft skin drawings I have a few other ideas brewing to show our appreciation and I would like to know who is helping us out.

Seems to be a bug in Battle of the Bay on DoW Server 2. None of the BLUE side air defenses spawned except for a single M113, very inconvenient.

Might just be a fluke, but may be due to the new patch?

Interesting. There are definitelty occasions where the RED ground units don't spawn as expected. Mission rot? It IS running on a Windows server :megalol:

Might just be a coding issue on the battle of the bay, I don't venture over to the enemy af unless its like 5 min to go but I don't think I've ever received anything but a very warm, lead filled welcome from BLUE AA lol

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.
