con3para Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Would like to say what a fantastic aircraft module , well worth the money . would like to know what curve settings people have , im use the TMwar HAF TOWER / MSI z77 G43 /-i5-3570k.@ 3.4mhz / GTX 780 / Patriot 8GB. xxJohnxx Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Yes, the MiG indeed is a great module! would like to know what curve settings people have , im use the TMwar none Check out my YouTube: xxJohnxx Intel i7 6800k watercooled | ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 | 32 GB RAM | Asus GTX1080 watercooled
Dolphin887 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 con3para, 21 have pretty sensitive controls, minimum recommended curves tweak is in the manual. Hoverer, once you master the aircraft, you can find good individual curve settings once you start close formation flying. Although curves settings is a matter of taste, 21 simply MUST have curves in order to properly simulate non-linear controls inputs. Power through superb knowledge, training and teamwork. Thanks for the response! That is very interesting indeed, I thought for the most DCS aircraft no-curves represent the most accurate input configuration. Will adjust my curves then! con3para Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 yes i have followed the Manual curve settings all good so far , was fighting two F86 the other night , went well , no stalls , or flips . ff4life4 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Although curves settings is a matter of taste, 21 simply MUST have curves in order to properly simulate non-linear controls inputs. Very interesting. Does this mean that the Real Mig-21 has a curvature to the flight controls as well? I have been flying with 0 curves as it is how I have it set for every other DCS module. But if the Mig-21 has them then I will add them according to the manual. Only question I have is if the real aircraft has curves, how would that work in the pitch axis. Is it curved from wherever the stick is trimmed to? Or is it curved from the center, 0 deflection of elevator?
CoBlue Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 After all the training missions completed & quite a bit of flying. I have to say that this has become my nr:1 all time favorite aircraft in DCS ;) Super well done job! 1.JaVA_Platypus Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I like the fact that you really don't need the gearlights. You hear three "thumps" to tell you the landinggear is retracted/extended. :D Happy Flying! :pilotfly:
dartuil Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Mig-21 is amazing but it needs a fighter to fight it u cant fight f-15 and su-27. Yes u can hide and sneak behind them but u need chance. i7 2600k -- Noctua NH-D14--Asrock Z75 Pro3--ASUS GTX970 Strix --16Go Ripjaws X 1333--Thermaltake Smart M650--CoolerMaster Silencio 652S--AOC E2752VQ-- Sandisk Extreme II 480GB--Saitek X-52 Pro --SAITEK PZ35 Pedals

dartuil Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I know that but online there are no bombers. :) My critic dont go against the mig-21 but against the fact it dont have old fighters to fight with. (F-104 ,mirage...) I buy mig-21 day one! No regrets! If I could build a team to do a mirage F1 I would! i7 2600k -- Noctua NH-D14--Asrock Z75 Pro3--ASUS GTX970 Strix --16Go Ripjaws X 1333--Thermaltake Smart M650--CoolerMaster Silencio 652S--AOC E2752VQ-- Sandisk Extreme II 480GB--Saitek X-52 Pro --SAITEK PZ35 Pedals

The mig-21 works great against su-27s and f-15s, only the dreaded aim-120 NOOBRAAM is a real threat. My youtube channel Remember: the fun is in the fight, not the kill, so say NO! to the AIM-120.
