I'm quite interested in this Jetseat. I was building a transducer based setup, but the noise is a bit much for my flatmate downstairs. It looks like this could be a great substitute (and would require less work). One thing though that concerns me a little is the lack of support for other games (such as racing etc).Is it possible to use SimVibe to run the Jetseat for these games? I was thinking that it might be possible to create a virtual sound card, have SimVibe output to this, and then have a translation application that read the sound card values and worked the GameSeat accordingly over USB. This would open up the Gameseat to lots of other games that SimVibe supports. Does anything like this exist currently, and if not, does the idea seem sound?

Hi WiredEarp,

JetSeat has 2 channels low frequence 3.5 mm jack sound input/passthrough. I suppose no tricks needed to make it work with SimVibe.

In its sound mode JetSeat supports any title.

SimShaker software supports AssettoCorsa and iRacing.

See also our tips here.

The thing is, the JetSeat (908 ) has 8 motors, and when using it in this sound mode we will only get 2 channels, and thus the effects will likely be inferior to a SimVibe setup with 4+ transducers. My thoughts were that if the motors are individually addressable over USB, it should be possible to shim the SimVibe sound outputs into individual motor outputs, which would be superior to running in passthrough mode. IOW, SimVibe would be set to output to 1 or more virtual sound cards, and the shim would read the virtual sound levels per channel, and translate this into vibrating the appropriate motor (determined by the sound channel) with the appropriate intensity also read from the sound channel.

I dont see why it wouldn't work, but I haven't played with virtual sound cards before, so I dont know how hard it would be to achieve. On the other side, I'd need to be able to individually access the motors over USB. Is there an API available for the JetSeat to allow people to manipulate it directly themselves?

I see.

API for JetSeat is available in Russian. I could send you a download link if you'd like.

Thanks Andre. If you could send the link, it would be appreciated.

Hi Andrey,

Maybe a fool question, but there is any reason that prevent to have the G feeling in the other planes ??

Thanks in advance

Hm... I suppose the main reason that nobody asked to do that in the other planes, and was ready to support the development.

Glad to read that it could be implemented in the future.. I received my KW-908 two days ago and still testing it, but the next week I'll make a donation to the project ( This month my bank account is crying ).

Keep the good work

Got my 908 from the Gametrix shop. Payment was hard but accomplished via bank transfer to an employee from Latvia. Delivery took a week with customs missing their chance to charge me.

Good news :)

You've catched the train.

The e-shop temporarily is out of stock, guys. But you can pre-order JetSeats, don't worry.

I have only just seen your PM's from last week Andre! Sorry for the delay.

I have sent you an answer (and allowed emails from other members - which was not selected)!

Hello Andrey,

I have just collected my jetseat from my local Post Office, and wish to thank you again for your really great service and kind help. It arrived in perfect condition (not guaranteed here in Africa), and the tracking system was excellent, with regular e-mails up until this morning when it informed me that the package was at my local Post Office and cleared for collection.

Now I look forward to getting it set up and running!

The whole process took about 6 weeks which is very good for any foreign order to this country.

Thanks, Andrey!

Regards, Derek B.
