Ummm. Ok I know 109 had good low speed handling... but that is BS. Pure one. Is that modded or just bad FM? I haven't seen a plane that would be capable of such maneuvering. Maybe some STOL planes, but 109?

Some fixed wing planes can do that type of thing (pitts special almost certainly can), but I don't think the Bf-109K4 is among them. I don't have the 109k4 here yet but I looked at BoS's Bf-109G2 for comparison, I couldn't do anything even remotely like that.

BoS did have some issues with overly powerful rudders on German fighters for a while in the beta period though. Same thing appears to have happened here judging by the video.

Personally, I think someone just mixed up the files of of the Kamov and the Kurfürst, Maj. Death. ;)

Its impossible to do that in DCS with the stock K-4, unless you are taking off, and even then only for a very short period and in a much more violent manner. :D

Foker DR I would probably do it even better, but 109...

No mods other than Diveplanes sound mods. Anyone should be able to do these moves that knows how to use the rudder as a brake. You can kind of do some of this move with any plane but not at these speeds before stalling and I'd imagine the engine would overheat on most.

These were also done with no flaps and horizontal trim set to 2. Some amazing stuff can be preformed by going into a slight turn say to the right, hit FULL right rudder, and then move the stick to the left at neutral or aft position. Adjust depending on how the plane is acting from there. I use it mostly to slow down on landing approaches because typically it will drop 100-200kph off a planes speed or if I can shake someone off my ass but other than a one time thing its not very good tactically ... unless I'm strafing an airfield now lol.

At 0:05 the speed indicated onboard is almost 0... :))

Either a funny mod or a big mistake... I would go for a funny mod though! :D

IRL in side slip speed indicator dont work correctly. There is side airflow at the pitot.

109 got quite powerfull rudder so i suppose it could make quite good flat turn with rudder.

Dont see nothing to much unusal in these video

Noticed this myself a couple of days ago while sideslipping in to land.

If i'm honest the flight model feels a bit suspect in general. It's still great fun an I'm sure the FM will be tuned a lot over the next few patches!

I'm sure it will all get tuned out ... the slowest I could get the 109 is around 150kph area which is pretty close to where it lifts itself off the ground. The Dora would hit stall speed much sooner trying these types of maneuvers but it doesn't quite have the same lift as the K-4. I'm sure Germans pilots really never tried anything like this so who knows really how close to perfect they can get it.
