AtaliaA1 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 ok turn of TSSAA that will help and clutter bushes is to high You did see that he is using an Nvidia GTX 780 right? I doubt those settings will give that GPU any problems at all. I have all on High, TSSAA high and bushes all the way up on its slider. That with a Nvidia 760 and the i7 920 no overclock. Superb frame rates. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. I've got GTX780 as well, with i5 4670 running with stock speed and If I want to maintain solid 60fps @ 1920/1200 I have to turn some settings down (once you get used to 60, there's no going back :D). Apparently, some folks also notice performance differences between on- and offline, although, as a strictly offliner, I cannot comment on it. Con3para, If You want to get even better performance, you might want to turn water and visibility range to medium, because these are the biggest FPS killers, especially when flying over coastal cities. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

ED Team NineLine Posted February 2, 2015 ED Team Posted February 2, 2015 The Mig21 is the real fps killer.. i wonder why.. I think the texture quality was more suited for DCS 2.0/EDGE... in the current version it tends to be a bit of a resource hog... BitMaster Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I currently run a 480 GTX and I even turned heat blur on and 1024 for the in cockpit display and it runs more or less fluent. I think the bushes are a bit too high for my experience, try them a tick lower, might help a bit. Yes, the Mig21-Bis is a killer machine, so are many other high fidelity modules, they tax the system way more than a FC3 AC. weeb Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Take a look at his CPU though. Also, define "superb". I am running an i5 3570k at the moment and find no reason to upgrade it until DCS2 comes out. For games that do not require hyper-threading and 8 cores it was and still is a gamer's choice. To me it's superb. Mine runs and 4.4 and if I need to, press a button and it goes to 4.6 if I need it, and has very cool temperatures. H100. I run 3 monitors 5600X1080 on a 7970 with excellent frame rates. I'm not going to get into a spat over new processors and older ones. Does the job, endov. Windows 7 64 Home Premium, i5 3570K (3.4 @ 4.4GHz), Asus P8Z77-V LX, 16GB dual channel 1600 ram, EVGA Nvidia GTX980ti, 240 GB OCZ SSD, 3 TB Raptor, Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas and Throttle, Saitek Pro Combat Rudder pedals.
