Yes I saw that already My question was more related to the current release as TacView 2 is not yet available. Thanks. Hi, there is no officially supported way of running Tacview 1 on anything other than Windows. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Kirito Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Hi there, I've noticed that the filename of the mission is not anymore part of the tacview filename.null Is there a way to get the missionname back in the tacview filename? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Hi, I believe the mission name should be there only if you have joined a server. Does that explain it? Edited May 13 by BuzyBee [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Hi, I usually fly in single player and so far the names have always been part of the file name. But you're right, in multiplayer the names are the same as usual. That's strange.

Maybe with DCS 2.9.15.9408 Hi, we have determined that this is a DCS bug which has been reported. While waiting for them to fix it, we have implemented a workaround so that where the mission title is not available the file name (of the .miz file) will be used. The workaround will be in the next beta. Thanks for reporting. Edited May 20 by BuzyBee Added "The workaround will be in the next beta." 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

graveyard4DCS Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Hello, Sorry to bother you but I struggle with the terrain textures as detailed in your documentation. I tried to add custom textures as explained, but they appear under the default textures, and the default textures don't seem to be accessible in any folder. It seems that we can't remove them, unless by unticking the "custom textures" option, but then we get rid of all the textures, both default and new ones. The only solution is to put them in "Real World", but I wanted to use them on DCS terrain... Original textures (West) over new textures (East). Eventually, did you work on integrating geotiff pictures instead of the "tiles" that are fairly difficult to use and generate? Hi, the DCS default textures can't be removed, but if you place textures at %PROGRAMDATA%\Tacview\Data\Terrain\Textures\DCS World\ they should appear on top of the default textures. Let me know if it works. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

MoppleTheWhale42 Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Hi, I wonder whether there is a way to generate "events" via DCS LUA scripts, which show up in tacview. Let's assume my LUA scripts come to a certain decision, such as "raid of blue" starts. Is there any way how I can generate an associated event, which shows up in the tacview flight log? Of course I could create an object, which shows up, but I would appreciate to create a log with a text, which I can define from within a LUA script.
