Wrench Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Hey guys. Is there anyway that I can start a mission with an airfiled deactivated, or blown up? I'm trying to build a campain and in one mission, I have a e-1b bomb kutaisi, is it possible in the next mission to set that aerodrome to deactivated, so airtcraft won't land there, or have it start still blown up? Carrier Script.
Belgeode Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 The only way I KNOW OF (which is not to say the only way EVER) is to set trigger zones around the buildings you want destroyed at the start of the mission then set a trigger for it like this. condition- TIME MORE THAN 1 action- EXPLOSION (name of airport trigger zone), altitude of 1, intensity of 1000 or maybe even 5000 for a really big boom. I actually made a couple missions where I wanted either an airport or a bridge to start in the destroyed condition. That was how I pulled it off. Wrench Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 I tried the xplosion method, but it didn't really do anything. I even tried seeting in to 10,000 but even some tanks I put right next to the runway for testing purposes survived, eventhough they were only about 100m from the explosion center. Reaper6 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 You don't need to destroy the entire airfield. You can use MIST or... 1. set trigger zone for control tower of airfield. Set Mission Triggers; Type:Mission Start Action: Explosion - "trigger zone", Altitude=1, Volume=1000 Once the control tower is destroyed AI will no longer land there. If you don't want "client" aircraft to land there, just spread a bunch of destroyed static objects on the runway. Wrecking Crew Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I disable Tbilisi by activating bunkers right at the intersections of the taxiways and runways and immediately follow that with an Explosion On Unit that blows up the bunkers and that leaves a broken runway with debris that looks like a Durandal hit it. Stonehouse Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Question (sorry I am at work) Lilkiki made a fire mod which is essentially an invisible static object which when destroyed emits smoke and fire. If one of these was spawned on the runways etc and not destroyed would it block traffic without being obviously visible ie (deactivated airfield) alternatively if they were placed and destroyed so are burning and smoking (destroyed airfield) would that shut down the base too? I can see you can put both sides at an airfield, but I'd like to prevent one side in multiplayer. I believe so, since I noticed there is an MP script which can close the slots.
