flask Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I am considering buying the Thrustmaster Warthog, but have been reading some posts here and else where about a problem concerning leaving the device plugged in and the unit bricking, can I ask does anyone know if Thrustmaster have addressed this problem?,( as of march 2015) I just know Id forget to unplug the unit before shutting my PC down, and would hate to end up with a Bricked unit. Thanks in advance
Fixxxer46 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 IIRC The problem was fixed last year. I have never unplugged the controllers for a restart. And lately(last 3-4 months, i have done an automatic restart each morning. There have been no problems for me.
Greekbull Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Had my Warthog for a few weeks now. Works perfectly! Best setup I've owned! jcbak Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 My Warthog has been plugged in for over a year. I never turn my computer off. I've had no issues (that weren't due to my own stupidity). If my Warthog was stolen from me today.....after hunting the dirty dog down and making him say, "Mommy." I would buy another as soon as possible. flyingspanner Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 When I got my warthog it really gave me issues on Falcon BMS. However what I found was that it seemed to have issues with Windows 8.1. When I added another boot drive with Windows 7 and the programs on that drive all the issues went away. Love the setup now...
cichlidfan Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 What sort of issues? I have been running my flight sim machine on Win 8.1 for over a year with no issues.
