Great stream, I watched it archived at twitch with NO problems!

Wonderful to see NTTR and Nevada, and all the little details come to life. Loving the new contrails, the new lighting and missile effects.

Especially glad to see visibility issues finally sorted out, and can't wait to fly both the new map & the old, in the new engine. Fantastic stuff!

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Ok can anyone please upload this to YouTube? Bloody twitch isn't working for me yet again. God I hate that program.

I can see the feed if I go in via safari, but when I click play, the play button gets crossed out and nothing happens. If I use the app, it states there are no past broadcasts on that channel, so at the moment I'm shit out of luck.

It's not just DCS, I can never get twitch working no matter who I try and watch. Worst piece of broadcasting software ever smegging made.

Matt is trying, but maybe the same problem is holding up the transfer to YT... hopefully soon™

From Matt

Just a clarification note from the stream: I mentioned that the NTTR map was around 46 GB. In fact, because my internal version that is linked through our svn file system essentially duplicates the files, the actual size of the map when it is released will be more around 24 GB.

SSDs rejoice!

Thanks

Very good news Matt and thanks for that tidbit!!

SSDs rejoice!

The stream wasnt really that great, the streamer did not interact in any way with the viewers and alot of them had plenty of valid questions.

Also there was not really anything being done in the stream, except for a little bit of flying.

You and I will have to accept the format that they have set up. The "interaction" that they are doing is through the Q&A before the streaming. I actually like the format they are working with right now. The questions that were selected and answered addressed some of my concerns. We are only at the beginning of these live streams and they can only get better. Take what is given because they don't have to give us anything at all. :)

Well put. I also have a distinct feeling that ED and Wags really want to bring us 2.0 as soon as possible and since that wasnt possible as soon as they would like, this is a chance to at least make the wait more bearable for the rest of us and to give us a first-hand look at how the alpha is progressing, week to week.

KUDOS to Wags and the ED crew for this great idea. To all the nitpicking naysayers who feel that they are entitled to call the shots: please, kindly, shut up or get out. To put it mildly. :)

That is not how it works:

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion and if ED sells something they are open to critique. Just like film and literature, games can be criticized

I agree that spamming forums is not the way to do it, but if somebody feels unsatisfied, as a customer he has right to show his concerns.

To me the stream was fine, a little bit boring, i hoped for more, but certainly its good to see progress and I want more streams.

Maybe P51 vs Bf109 next time?:music_whistling: I realy want to see those tracers.

I wish for more dogfighting. Show maybe the AI too.

Strawman argument Solty? Where did I mention critiques? It's one thing to critique the stream itself, its another to challenge the format. Do you understand the difference?

This thread, for example is a feedback thread on the streams themselves, it is not a wishlist.

As was posted on the forums and in the Twitch chat window... Questions were selected out of the forum thread and it was stated several times that questions would not be taken from the Twitch chat. If you are disappointed in anyway that is your own doing by not reading the various messages telling you exactly what the stream would be.

Also there was not really anything being done in the stream, except for a little bit of flying.

This comment alone tells everyone all they need to know. A lot happened in that stream...

The stream is great, just looking for a little higher res to get rid of the blocky, hard to read text etc.. I appreciate these in any form, it is moire than we have been getting. I'm sure Matt will show you all lots of different stuff as they get going.

Can't say I'm a fan of twitch, but it is worth the hassle for this content.
