Thank you for considering my request. I think the ability of selecting a preferred cockpit from the GUI is the future in this area. Thanks to Ed the mechanism is there, just needs someone with your talent to provide us lesser able:helpsmilie: with all the .luas, schmooas , and lolla paloozas.:thumbup:

Well I tried many of the skins but yesterday I tried brother Devrim's BS2 blue cockpit. Wow it looks like BS2 is redbuild. Every instrument is prominently visible.

Thank you, and you're quite right. The color difference shows every hidden depth. Last month I tried "gray" cockpit, based on Ric's blue cockpit. It was awesome too. I didn't write to Ricardo. If he says OK, I'll like to release a gray version as well.

 

But the community may kill me this time, "Enough! No more Ka-50 cockpit mod!" :D

Yes, actually I have some ideas about skinning. :)

Some works are left to do. After those, I'll dive into skin works.

 

But still dreaming, I wish ED would change using skins method. I mean, in mission, user could quickly download what mission stored in its library ... or something... Then, all these skins might be really useful, in my opinion.

0.7 is probably only compatible with 1.5.2 release right now.

0.8 is compatible with the new material names in 2.0 alpha, and *probably* compatible with 1.5.3 beta.

 

Edit: 0.8 confirmed compatible with 1.5.3. When 1.5.3 hits stable on Friday, I'll update the master download with the version 0.8 .zip file.

FYI, if you're referencing this thread regularly to keep a set of cockpit mods up-to-date, my cockpit mod for M-2000C has been updated for the latest open beta/stable (0.86). This is the version now available from ED's download site.

 

NTTR still requires version 0.85 due to lua structure differences. Links to both are in the thread.
