Silky
I've been flying a lot of jets lately and it's just getting too repetitive of following a dot on the radar, pressing a button, and getting a kill; I miss the good dogfights with WWII birds, I remember a year ago you could find 20 people in a WWII server. This is most likely a futile attempt at resurrecting that in a server (I can't name a few, but I know they're there) that doesn't require a 40 minute flight to the AO like you had to do in DoW. Just a action packed dogfights, what if we set a date and time every week for just one day to fly in a WWII server on DCS? For an example, every Satuday at 1900, is the WWII Fly In, would anyone be interested in this? :pilotfly:
NeilWillis
Always a good idea to include your location - time zones, and ping times are a major factor. If you're in Europe, the guys on RAF Air sometimes run dogfighting weekends. If there is sufficient interest, it may well become a regular event. HornedGod
You can also check out the 9./jg27 fighting legends server. It's hosted in Europe and has a nice instant action sort of mission. Has good numbers on it during European evening hours and is slowly picking up during US peak hours too. Make sure to grab the mod pack as it definitely helps with visibility and visual target acquisition. Edited July 4, 2015 by HornedGod
Schnarre Aggro
well ... its saturday and flying on the -=9./JG27 FightingLegends=- has began already :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There are two types of fighter pilots - those who have, and those who will execute a magnificent break turn towards a bug on the canopy . . . . http://www.youtube.com/user/schnarrsonvomdach http://www.twitch.tv/schnarre https://www.facebook.com/pages/Schnarre-Schnarrson/876084505743788?fref=ts

JG27 is the best choice due to that FOV change and mostly due to sound changes, thanks to that B&Z is actually possible. The only problem is that they mostly come into the server together and fly German side, so sometimes its 4 or 6 Germans against 2 Allies... so its not realy balanced most of the time :). Solty
;2427384']sometimes its the other way around :music_whistling: I wish I was around to see that :P I've got bored realy quickly due to that. But the server has very good dogfighting scenarios. Its quick and easy and that LOD mod is great. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]In 21st century there is only war and ponies. It's definitely a challenge being outnumbered almost all the time but I get a kick out of it; maybe I'm just a sucker for punishment. If nothing else I'm really really good at emergency landings now! SeaQuark
I also have been flying on the JG27 server lately. No problems so far with lag despite my distance to the server (I'm in the US). Sometimes the Allies are outnumbered, but sometimes it's the other way around. Don't forget to use their TS server: http://www.9jg27.com/teamspeak-on-air [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] WNG. Silky
Was there ever at timezone mentioned with this time? JG27 server could be fine. I have the modpack downloaded already. I live in Nevada, so it would be afternoon for North American's, evening for Europeans. I'm pretty flexible as it'd be a Saturday. Whatever the best time is for the rest of you guys.. ctguy1955
I would very much like to fly and actually be with others and not alone against AI all the time. I know that what time it is has so much to do with what happens and its very hard to be able to get everyone together with people sleep and work schedules.
