gx007 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 http://www.lockon.ru/index.php?end_pos=950&scr=default&lang=en Can any developer or someone else share the reason for the delay. I'm not too unhappy. I'd rather have a stable and feature-rich sim. GX
DarkStar Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 so this means SpeedTree and advanced missile behavior?
GGTharos Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 It means delayed release date. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Pilotasso Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I expected an August/September launch. I have good reasons to believe it will come in september as I have been predicting for a long time now. I am not disapointed. :) .
chrno120 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 :joystick: Hey peepZ will this version implement clickable cockpit for all aircraft or for the Helo only? The most stupid member in the forum
Nate--IRL-- Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 When is autunm in developer language? September onwards? just curious.. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
GGTharos Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 It is :D It's definitely a very different experience. And I think, when I have an F-15 guy wanting to fly the 50 more than the 15 ... well :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Guest Cali Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I have a distinct feeling it's well worth the wait. Me too (hehe)
rekoal Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 well im sure its going to be worth the wait! is there any updates you can tell us about it? many thanks rekoal
Force_Feedback Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Too many games released in the summer eh? I understand it, you will get my money twice, as with fc, unless there will be no web version, then I'll only buy BS once. Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Weta43 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Still Spring, just the southern spring. GG ? "And I think, when I have an F-15 guy wanting to fly the 50 more than the 15 ... well" You mean yourself ? Does sound promising ... Cheers.
Revvin Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Well it's always dissapointing to see a game you're looking forward to buying be delayed but if it means a more stable playable sim then it will be worth the wait. It's good to know ED won't be rushing a product out of the door just to get revenue in. Autumn is going to be good for sims if they hit this release date as 1C:Maddox Battle of Britain sim is due in Novemeber 2006 according to their web-site. Does anyone know if there is going to be an updated manual for sale like the one they have on the web-site now?
ALDEGA Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 We've seen videos of a functional Ka-50 months ago. What's the reason for the delay? btw, this will basically mean BS will be released 3 years after Lockon. Yes, that much time has passed.
Pilotasso Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 2 years and 9 months to be more accurate (by autunm). There hasnt been any solid flight SIM in the LOMAC's class for I think ED is safe for doing the addon. The improvments in lockon has superceeded any potential graphics tweak it could recieve and for me it made much more a difference than graphics would. .
Weta43 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 It would be good customer relations if E.D. were to let us in on where there development efforts are going. Maybe it would give us a reason to be optimistic about the delay.... Cheers.
Outlaw24 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 It would be good customer relations if E.D. were to let us in on where there development efforts are going. Maybe it would give us a reason to be optimistic about the delay.... Or maybe throw us a bone and give us a small patch with the AIM-120C :) and the updated AI until they finish BS. Spoiler: MSI Z790 Carbon WIFI, i9 14900KF, 64GB DDR4, MSI RTX 4090, VKB STECS Mk ll throttle, VKB Gunfighter Ultimate MCG Pro w/200mm Extension, Winwing Orion Rudder Pedals W/damper, Wingwin Monitors/MFD's, UTC MK II Pro, Virpil TCS Plus Collective, MSI 34" QD-OLED @240Hz monitor, Samsung 970 Pro M2 2TB (for DCS), Playseat Air Force Seat, KW-980 Jetseat, Vaicom Pro, Tek Creations panels and controllers.
Outlaw24 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 The Aim-120 ? - you must mean the R-77 :-) :( Spoiler: MSI Z790 Carbon WIFI, i9 14900KF, 64GB DDR4, MSI RTX 4090, VKB STECS Mk ll throttle, VKB Gunfighter Ultimate MCG Pro w/200mm Extension, Winwing Orion Rudder Pedals W/damper, Wingwin Monitors/MFD's, UTC MK II Pro, Virpil TCS Plus Collective, MSI 34" QD-OLED @240Hz monitor, Samsung 970 Pro M2 2TB (for DCS), Playseat Air Force Seat, KW-980 Jetseat, Vaicom Pro, Tek Creations panels and controllers.
Sleek Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 it means when-ever..what-ever..gettin boring now... sry chaps nursing a Massive hangover! Be Good..Be Strong..:drink: ;)
F l a n k e r Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Ehi, someone of the ED, please, can give us un update about the work in progress? I think the Yak-40 and the KnellKnell Mirage would be added to BS, am I wrong? I've see the last video of the Ka-50, it seems fantastic to me! Cheers and thanks!
yamangman Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Maybe they are fixing the inexplicable variations in framerate?
Shepski Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Guys... modeling the Ka-50 and all it's underlying systems is a very complex project... it all takes time.
dodger42 Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Bummer... but I wonder whether the delay has so much to do with quality of the BS release, or ED shifting focus to developing the A10 Sim for the US. That time of the year may be a little busy. FighterOps just might have something around that time, and a few other combat sims coming out around that time. Should be an interesting year for us simmers. . . . Lockon Advanced Realism with Touch-Buddy
Guest IguanaKing Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 As far as the A-10C trainer goes...I'll have to see it to believe it. As far as Black Shark goes...I hate to bring up the same old slogan again...but "It'll be done when its done." We saw numerous release date changes with LOMAC, and I'm sure this won't be any different. I'm sure we won't have to worry about it being vapor ware though, it'll just take time...more time than can be accurately projected. When its released, I'm sure it will have bugs, since the team of testers is quite small in comparison to the thousands who will buy it and run it on as many different rigs. Sleek, NEVER admit that, dude! ;) Cadence: Oh my god, morning's already here Wish I hadn't drunk all that beer
