please forgive the noob dumb question but what will this ACFT use to attack , like SA-** SAM sites?

Will it carry a standoff missile or will we toss bombing against SA13?

Thanks

You will have to toss them or drop them. Currently in DCS an aircraft can travel at 35k feet and at 550 knots, drop a mk82 from outside of 13 NM out from a target area. If you increase your altitude and speed you can increase your standoff range a bit more.

What that simply means is that you can drop an LGB from a long ways out and let a JTAC on the ground guide your bomb on target. You can try with dumb bombs, though you will need some way of wind correction and I don't know if we will have that in this module.

Thanks for the info, i think i will buy this module anyway cause it is cool and will provide hours of fun flying around getting shot down for what in reality is pennies. I do wish DCS would implement some weapon for wild weasel even if it was not used in reality just for the fun of it. Either that or give us a F-16 which does have anti sam capability.

That would be difficult in M2000C, you can't perform level release on coordinates. You would need a Mirage 2000D for that release.

It's not SEAD aircraft...

Maybe you are right, but M2M demonstrated a level CCRP release in FSX. Granted that is FSX...

They actually demonstrated a slight dive toss with CCRP and level drop with CCRP.

It has been said that the 2000C has CCIP AND CCRP delivery methods.

Yes, but CCRP in M2000C is not what is it on F-16C...

On M2000C it's dive attack, with radar ranging and release during pull up.

What a fantastically inefficient method of SEAD!

Why the hell an Air Defense fighter should perform SEAD ???????

Does F-15A/C perform SEAD ? Fxxz no !

Maybe you should ask Dassault what they were thinking when they had the idea. Edited by VincentLaw

Mirage 2000 is a family. An airframe with different weapon systems.

We won't get anywhere until you understand the difference between Mirage 2000 E (export RDM) and French Mirage 2000 C RDI specialized in air defense...

... and that in France the SEAD mission was left to the Jaguar with AS37, and later to the Mirage 2000D / Rafale with GBU / AASM / Scalp.

lol, can I complain that the Mirage 2000 has a hook but won't operate from an aircraft carrier?

What about vertical takeoff? It has a huge engine! Please implement vertical takeoff! Mirage III V could do it after all.

I know people are desperate for another SEAD aircraft but not every new module is automatically one, this is getting embarrassing...

I think people are so giddy for the F/A-18 C they literally wish every plane is one.

Since they can´t wait.

I mean, the F/A-18 C will be the first aircraft (I consider FC3 to be toys) in this sim that can literally do everything. Carrierops? Check. GBUs? Check. ARMs? Check. ASMs? Check. Mavericks? Check. Air to Air? 12 Spamraam check.

So yeah, M-2000 C S5 RDI can not use ARM, ASM or any of that sort...we should be lucky it can even drop GBUs, even if they require buddy laze.

GCI: "Control to SEAD: Enemy SAM site 190 for 30, cleared to engage"

Striker: "Copy, say Altitude?"

GCI: "....Deck....it´s a SAM site..."

Striker: "Oh...."

Fighter: "Yeah, those pesky russian build, baloon based SAMs."

I would have to agree with you, I personally cannot wait for the F-18 for all the reasons you mentioned, its a fighter with few limitations on what it can do.

However the mirage 2000 RDI version we are getting is a dedicated A2A fighter and is very well suited to that job. People need to appreciate that. F-18C is a like a swiss army knife and that's how it was made and this thing is a just knife (a great knife but not much more) other versions of the mirage 2000 are more mutirole. But I'm perfectly happy with the one we are getting, once the typhoon and F-14 are out we will have a good assortment of pure A2A platforms which I think is what we need. DCS world already has many CAS and A2G platforms.

M2M M2000C includes ARMAT missile which is an anti-radiation missile. It also have Mk82, Mk82 SE, EXOCET, rockets, even GBU 12 (source: M2M FB page). So for instance, the delivery of a GBU 12 will require a JTAC or a buddy lase. However, I wonder if you can shoot ARMAT missile on INS coordinates from the PCM.

You may want to read this thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=147288 The RAZBAM version for DCS only has an RDI radar that is optimized for Air to Air and not capable of using the ARMAT, Excocet.:(

I would have liked to have them as well, but as our French friends say, C'est La Vie! We are going to have to be content with the Su-25T for the Iron Hand mission just a bit longer until the F/A-18C comes out. Till then:book::joystick::pilotfly::thumbup:

Su25t can perform SEAD tasks and is available on both blue and red coalitions.

This is not really correct. The Countrys SU25-T is available for, can be all dropped into one Coalition by the Mission Builder.

Just as a sidenode.

razbam demonstrated a couple of years ago the VTOL capability in DCS, they posted it on your tube.

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

no it was a true harrier in dcs in batumi with F2 view. it was on razbams channel, which has many names, razbam, radzamb, etc.. I can't find it. Perhaps they took it down.
