I did install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 and I can see the msvcr120.dll in Windows\SysWOW64 but I am still getting the error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled C++ Redistributable Package several time, still getting the error. Any ideas? I am running a fresh installation of Windows 10 Home.

Just download from the MS page directly. All other links are possibly fake/contaminated, its too risky.

I would have but it wouldn't start the DL so I looked elsewhere. I tend to be pretty suspicious of downloads but the one I posted links back to the MS page. It worked, which the MS page didn't. So go figure....

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

I a facing the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" on startup.

I am trying to run it on a fresh installation of Windows 10 Home 64bit. I am using the latest Nvidia driver 10.18.13.5599. I tried the Steam version and the version downloaded on http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world. I also installed Microsoft Visual C++ 210 Redistributable. Nothing helped.

My Spec:

i3-4160

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 OC 2GB

AS Roc H81M-ITX

Samsung 850

I have installed it multiple times, and there is there is nothing installed on my machine beside DCS. I could not located any log files.

I have no idea what could solve the issue. Any idea?

MSVCP120.dll is missing

Was flying ok earlier today, but for some reason the open beta v1.5 will no longer start. I have reinstalled but still get the same message at startup that MSVCP120.dll is missing. Have run vcredist_x64.exe and asked me to repair or uninstall, so repaired but still displays the same message. Any ideas.

Problem resolved, MSVCP120.dll is the redist for vs 2013, was thinking it was vs 2012, managed to download it and reinstall, no idea how it became uninstalled though, most curious.

I did not overclock my GPU either, I know the OC version are overclocked out of the box. I could try to reduce the clock back to a non OC level, but to be honest I do not think this is the problem.

Any idea where I find the dcs logs?

Had that same error code when I had a problem when MSVCP120.dll went missing, check to see if you have the VS 2013 x64 redistributable installed, if not then download the vc_redistx64.exe (or something like that) for Visual Studio 2013.

Are you sure they support DirectX11? Run "dxdiag" and check for DirectX11 support on the GPU.

I have installed vcredist_x86.exe first but then I realised I need the vcredist_x64.exe. It looks like I have had installed both. I uninstalled both and then only installed the 64-bit version. Still the same error:(

Some users had to reinstall after they deleted the old ver. first. Also you can't just reinstall one of them. Only Microsofts programmers know which controls which. Reinstall all of them, preferably after the old ones have been deleted.

From what I've read, that error usually means that an x64 environment is being mixed with an x32 environment. One suggested solution is to reinstall the latest version of .NET framework for your system. I haven't seen that mentioned yet. So it might be worth a try.

I have even reinstalled windows from scratch, no success. All the servers I have been playing on disappeared, presumably updated to 1.5. The entire DCS is kind of useless to me at the moment after spending all the money on modules:( Please fix this Eagle Dynamics!

One of the moderators had a user update a file like that. I do remember that the OP was happy because it worked.

sure whoever it was will see this soon and guide OP to the file.

OB standalone works fine for me in Win8.1 but if I boot to Win10 I can't launch it. I originally had errors about missing MSVCP120.dll and MSVCR120.dll, so I searched my C: partition and found them installed by another program in it's own folder and copied them to Windows\system32.

That stopped those error popups and I get this one about (0xc000007b) now instead.

I ran the vcredist_x64.exe from the OB\dist folder and let it repair. I also have OB in Steam, so I tried launching it from there, which made it install 7 required packages but then it just doesn't launch at all when I click Play and it didn't help with the standalone. Tried verifying integrity of files as well and that didn't help.

Programs and Features shows I've got the x86 and x64 versions of:

Visual C++ 2005

Visual C++ 2008

Visual C++ 2010

Visual C++ 2012

There's actually two versions of the x64 2012 installed, v11.0.50727 and v11.0.61030. Only the latter is installed for x86.
