I got the newsletter from ED:

 

"Update 3 for DCS World 1.5 Open Beta

 

Today also marks the release of the third update for the Open Beta of DCS World 1.5. Important changes to Update 3 include:

 

Game stability improvements, including Oculus Rift

Fixes to the MiG-29 cockpit

Fixed mouse visibility issues

Corrected memory management errors

Added working flashlight and fans to Mi-8MTV2

I started the server and problem is still!

 

Hmmmm. Possible there was more than one memory issue. Either way, it will get fixed.

 

I put another 8GB in today for 16 total. I'll get to fly soon, but for kicks, I logged into the ACG server and started up a 'Stang. My RAM usage meter left me lots of room at the start. Promising.

DCS 1.5 Open Beta hotfix 3

 

 

General

 

  • ‘render3D' option in /Config/autoexec.cfg restored.
  • Empty ["condition"] variable in mission causes no flyable A/C fixed.
  • Fixed possible data lost when missions created in old versions saved in 1.5.0.
  • Advanced Actions panel compatibility with old 1.2.16 missions fixed
  • Bug with music continues playing when entering training mission is fixed.
  • Quick Logout fixed
  • The cloud render in the main menu will not capture PC time in background of the Module manager.
  • Fixed Unreadable and garbled characters in the MiG-15bis SPECIAL options menu for DE locale.
  • Some localization updates.
  • Fixed FPS counter when Oculus Rift used
  • DX11 crashes fixed

 

AI

  • MLRS will move to get valid fire position.
  • Fixed bug with MLRS wrong fire direction on F10 view.

 

Multiplayer

  • Mouse cursor will hide when not in use.
  • MP chat panel position can be changed by mouse.
  • Fixed crash to desktop after using backspace key too many times in multiplayer chat.
  • Fixed bug when some units and buildings were not visible to clients in multiplayer.
  • Error at the click on server list is fixed.

Can confirm with Beta 3 the issue still exists.

I still have this problem as well. It is a bit better in the latest hot fix (3), but basically my ram usage slowly (and I mean really slowly) climbs until its at ~95% usage; if it manages not to crash I just get really terrible stutters that basically make it unplayable..

 

Seems to happen in both single and multiplayer for me but I'll need to test it a bit more to see.

Only had a few memory leaks. But also plan on upgrading to 16gb. Had to actually cancel it, had emergency this week, and just got out of surgery today.

 

Here's to hoping you get better :beer: and you can get your new ram soon enough :thumbsup:

Slowly ? It depends. Try and go on servers full of units. With 8 gb you won't get that far before the PC starts freezing.

 

Some servers make DCS occupy 2 gb (and more, quickly growing) just in the lobby.

16 GB now installed. Memory usage still climbs up and up, but at 1/2 the rate (since percentage now works with 2x capacity). I don't see the problem going away, but I am now putting it off a bit.

As soon as I start even a single player mission, I get massive ram usage.

 

I go up to nearly 80% every time, and I have 16 of corsair.

 

I never disconnect, but that seems excessive.

System: I4770k, 8GB Ram, Gtx760 2GB, 125GB SSD for system, and regular HDD with DCS on it..

 

Situation, i have 12GB free on my SSD, if i start DCS my Ram goes up to 7,8GB and stays there. But seems like DCS is using my SSD space for some reason.. when i play 4-5 hours of DCS, my free 12GB SSD Space went down to 1-2GB free space.. if i keep running dcs, it will suddenly crash the PC.. after reboot PC my SSD is back to normal 12GB free space, really strange..

 

EDIT: I just played around 20 mins of DCS, and my SSD Space is down from 12GB to 9,69GB

Are you using a page file on your SSD?

I know really ? It's what I am trying to explain but looks like someone wants to deny the evidence. I hope it will be patched soon, and not with 2.0 release...

Same with TAW servers. Started new crash log collection. The crash seems to be more persistent now, previous was just lagging for many hours but now I hope it crashes when memory usage is at 100% and creates dump files.

Yep same here, multiplayer is almost impossible, RAM usage is slowly rising up to 9500Mb, it's take only about 10mn to crash my game with a few players and nothing else. Also notice something else, if i start a mission (Tf51 cold start for example), RAM usage is about 3400Mb. Leave mission, restart the same, RAM is about 4200Mb, and it never stop....

 

Spec: I5 4670k, GTX 970Gb, 8Gb RAM, Windows 10 64 bits.

As a note, I just went to the Encyclopedia and had a look at all the planes.

When I tried to start a mission after that, I noticed the game was already eating over 6 GB of RAM (I have 8 GB). Probably an issue with model/texture loading?

I only have 8GB of RAM and last night while hosting a simple server it was eating 7GB of RAM, upon saving and editing missions it would take literally 5 minutes to save any changes, because I was out of RAM, and therefore I'm out of fast processing ability :( so doing anything like saving missions etc always takes ages.

Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk.

Terrains I own: South Atlantic, Syria, The Channel, SoH/PG, Marianas.

System:

GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX, AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Corsair Vengeance DDR5-5200 32 GB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070S FE, Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB (DCS dedicated) & 2 TB NVMe SSDs, Corsair RM850X 850 W, NZXT H7 Flow, MSI G274CV.
